I have an upcoming booking in which I've reserved 1A and 2A as sunshinebob appears to have done. That way at least 1 of the desired seats is claimed - whilst this may not significantly increase the likelihood of 1K remaining free until T-72, even a slight improvement seems worthwhile, for example if the next interested couple opts to settle for row 4 rather than choosing 1K and 2K.

Did 1a/k to YVR and they are definitely the best seats so take them while you can.

Flying on BA238 BOS-LHR and it's a 777. An adult and an 11yr old. I currently have 1E/F but is it better to do 1F/K? Or 1K/2K. I normally do 2K when flying alone.

I would stick with 1ef.
My wife and I had these seats on a recent flight and they were great.
The toilets in the cabin are after row 5 so there is no traffic going by you and the galley is close by so you get good service from the crew...and they are just forward enough of you to be not noisy either.

Yes,good idea to try and “Bank” 1a and 2a or 1k and 2k for the moment and keep a good eye on your MMB from T-72 onwards. My wife and I sat in 1a/1k on a recent JFK flight and they are great. Its almost like being on a private jet as you’re so tucked away at the front. The forward view is great too.
As for our flight, there were only 5 passengers in the cabin,2 of whom went straight to sleep.
What great service we had !

It was great when did a recent LHR - ORD and JFK - LHR.

great crew both ways. Wasn’t too keen on the food offering on BA178 (JFK - LHR early flight) but the service was great!

That’s only on the B777-300 Goldpeter, all the -200s have the toilets at the front.
If you want two seats in the middle 2EF are nicer in my opinion.

2a and 2k are better for a couple anyway - you can actually hold hands across the aisle.

You’ll only hold hands in the E/F seats. They are also the only seats where you can talk without everyone else hearing.

I got a booking with 4 people in F. Two of them are Gold and two don’t have a status. Currently both Golds sitting in 1A and 1K and NonS sitting in 2A and 2K. When I called the Hotline and asked wether it would be possible to swap the seats of a NonS person from row 2 to 1, they told me that it is still not possible. So my conclusion is that it isnt possible to get a non Gold member into row 1 until T-72/OLCI also if there where ‘enough’ Goldmembers in the booking.
