Question My upcoming flights are they WWF or MF

Hi travelling LHR-MIA on BA207 on Sunday & back BA268 LAX - LHR in early Jan.

Are either of these routes MF?

Hi,

I think that MIA is MF and LAX has now returned to WW - although may be wrong.

It may be too radical for this forum, but you could always board without preconceptions and judge the crew on the day on their merits...

That's so true.

I have had great - and not quite so great - service from both MF and WW, including on LHR-SIN-SYD. I think it's down to a combination of the CSD/CSM and the mix of crew on the flight - with the CSD/CSM able to up the crew a notch or several if they are a good leader.

m0hamed is absolutely right regarding the food in the QF SIN lounge - much better than the BA lounge. I understand it is freshly cooked onsite rather than prepared offsite and reheated. The wifi is faster there too, and there is lots more room. But no BA flights on the screens or called since the JV stopped, so you have to be careful not to miss your connection

Indeed. It's been with Worldwide for quite a few months now.

Spoken to or retrained? Probably not, I rather suspect. And in a sense, if you went to the crew member now after any length of time then they will be bound to say, in all honesty, that they simply don't remember your sequence of events.

So that is why it's best to raise it onboard with the CSD or CSM. Getting annoyed and then letting rip elsewhere only goes so far. Now one advantage you had, given it was MF, is that the CSM would have been their line manager, so there is a direct linkage between complaints and performance evaluation. WW is a more complex situation. But I guess the problem there is whether to make a mountain out a molehill. After the call button was ignored, on top of the other relatively minor issues (at least in my book) I think I would have gone and discreetly hunted down the CSM for a carefully worded and measured chat.

Thanks. Note that the QF lounge staff are trained to better serve Qantas Platinum One and Chairman's Lounge (similar to Premier) pax. I found that once she saw we were in BA F we were escorted to the dining area, found a table, and our orders were taken for food and drinks by the staff. The lounge manager also came to check we were happy. So it seems this service is extended to F pax.

I agree. I am always of the view to raise an issue on site in hotels rather than after, however my priority was sleep for the flight. As I noted above the CSM was the only crew that, to me, provided F service locating an occupied washroom for me when she saw me standing in the aisle.

I for one find BA operations interesting and therefore take an interest in which routes are / are not MF. Nothing to do with judging the crew!

Tried this approach - didn't work

WAW flight, so Band 3b, right?

CE: no pre-lunch drinks, just meal, tea & coffee. Galley FM then. So typical MF service...
