This thread is archived - there is a Concorde Room (CCR) LHR 2015 menu thread here.

This thread gives the current catering options for the Concorde Room (CCR), which is airside by South Security. This lounge is open to passengers flying BA on a First ticket or Concorde card holders. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey.

The current catering options in the CCR can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. The current (August) JFK CCR menu is shown in post 176.

They won't cook a steak below medium?! Why bother offering it? Is this some health and safety nonsense? I have no trouble getting a blue steak at any decent London restaurant.

Perhaps there are different cooking standards for horse meat.

Oh you tease.

Unfortunately this kind of comments makes me fear for the champagne bar, the menu and the buffet.

As I understood it cooking doesn't change the risk.

The infectious prions are not fully denatured by heat until they reach about 600 degrees Celsius. I leave it to SFO777 to assert his steak was cooked at that temperature ...

After reading the threads about both the Flounge and CCR and never seeing either as a F class passenger and LHR /BA novice what can I expect in the way of a dress code in this exclusive space? Is it anything goes like the US or is one expected to arrive in Coat and Tie? I always like to know before I go.... Thanks

To fit in the Flounge you really have to be white, middle aged and wearing a suit or at least a shirt or you will look a bit out of place. I hear there are costume stores and make-up you can apply if this is an issue for you.

The CCR is really a free for all. Last time I was in there was some kind of inner city Miami juvenile street gang (or possibly a hip hop group), a 5'11'' teenage Russian model and either her American grandfather or sugar daddy and an obese Indian man in an expensive suit with his equally well dressed sister.

Dress how you like, if possible I de-suit and dress for comfort. You see all sorts in there.
