I just made a dummy booking and the seats layout on ba.com for flights 280 (July 30) and 281 (July 18) are totally unique and non of the wide-body jets on SeatGuru has same layout. The closest one appears to be the 787-10 but yet, the rows are not aligned. On the ba.com website it says that the plane is 777-300. Weird.

SeatGuru and similar sites are not worth looking at. Are not that accurate or up to date. Look at the BA web site

I was almost always lucky with the SG site so I was quite surprised now that it doesn't match since the 777-300 are not a new type of planes in fleet. And honestly I was kind of hoping they will put the 351 or 781 on the LHR-LAX route and not 777

But yet one more question comes to my mind. When I was trying the dummy booking I noticed that the plane is equipped with the new reverse herringbone layout and not the old one. I mean there are any 777-300 with this new business class layout?

As noted by Mwenenzi, SeatGuru is not reliable for BA aircraft (and a number of other airlines). See:

Most the 777-300ER are in the old layout with F14 C56 old ying-yang seats, plus 9 abreast in economy. There are 2 or 3 new jets delivered last year with just 8F, and the new Club Suite, and 10 abreast in economy. It sounds you're on one of these newer ones.

it very looks like so. The WTP seats are in 3* rows and the business class layout is definitely the new reverse herr.
But if I am right the WTP or PE are the very same seats as on all other planes right? Or did they equipped the refubrished 773ER with the new WTP seats that they have on the 351?

As per the wiki, there are 4 new 77Ws in service, with one currently undergoing refurbishment (due to complete in the next few weeks).

and those 4 new 77Ws (+ the one being refurbished) will have the same new WT+ seats as it is in A351? Or they put there the old ones that are everywhere?

They will have the new version of the seat. Why do you think they would put the old version on a newly manufactured aircraft?

Ive 2 F seats booked to JFK in Nov, MMB says its 77W but based on above think its 77H (8 F seats). For a couple, are we better in 1A/2A or 1A/E or 1E/F? (Was so much easier to choose on the 744)

Only you can decide, do you want to sit side by across the aisle with one seat being a window or two window seats?
