BA showing confusing 777 seat map for BA272 SAN->LHR in April 2022. I have a CW booking but under MMB seat selection there is no map displayed! I've tried this with multiple browsers and even the BA app (iOS version). I eventually resorted to calling customer service to get seat assignments. Even the CS guy said it made no sense to him either. If I try a dummy booking right now, I am able to see a seat map that looks like a 77G with the first 4 rows blocked out, but that doesn't make any sense. BA does not offer First Class on this route and therefore First Class is not even an option on the BA site when booking a ticket. BUT when making a dummy booking it does show a seat map that appears to be a 77G configuration which includes 4 blocked out rows of First Class and rows 10 to 16 Club World. What's up with that?? Could this be related to the reconfigurations underway on the 777's?

Could be that BA currently has it planned an 'old seat' 777-300ER but only selling it as 3-class. If that aircraft remains (highly unlikely this far out) BA would look to oversell Club World and use the First seats as extra Club seats (or FLUB seats FLUB class (travel in F but with J service on 4 class aircraft) - FlyerTalk Forums). Given all the changes to BA's fleet (early retirement of 747s and ongoing Club Suite installation) there will likely be some odd deployments over the next couple of years.

Seatmap for BA 77W (this is not urgent!) 😀
I am flying LAX-LHR (hopefully) in August on an AA flight, operated by BA, in Club World. I chose my seats on BA.
I cannot find the seat layout on BA or any other site (except for the "choose your seat" page on BA).
Does anyone know where I can find the seat layout (and seat recommendations/reviews)? I reached out to BA on Twitter but have been waiting for a while. Again, this is not urgent.
The layout on BA's "choose your seat page" shows Club World as Rows 5 through 24. The plane shows as 77W. Seats are 4-across except for Rows 18 and 24, which are 2 aisle seats. Looks like some sort of separation between Rows 7 and 8, and bathrooms are behind Row 18.
I am interested in maximum privacy and am travelling alone so if anyone knows this layout and can recommend something, please do. Thank you in advance.

BA source and Aerolopa are both ok. Seat guru not updated properly.
For privacy, any window seat away from galley and toilets are fine.

Just as I was checking this, I heard from BA on Twitter - saying that the plane was recently refitted with the new Club Suites. I thank you both for your comments! 😄

Try Aerolopa which is the brainchild of one of our esteemed moderators.
By George, I believe this is it! Thanks!

Looking for some help with my SAN-LHR flight in early Sept. (assuming service has been resumed)
Im currently 16A so that I dont have to climb over anyone. Looking to see if anyone thinks of a better seat out of whats left.
Thanks in advance

Traveling on my own and hoping that TS kicks in for 16B if I stick with 16A.
Same question for the return only this time I’m in 10J so that no one has to climb over me. Any better seat available for selection?
Thanks again.

Normally travel with the wife and she tends to go for aisle seat with nobody climbing over her. So 10B and 10J are ok for this.

The step-over anxiety is overblown in my humble opinion. Unless you spend 4 hours in the lounge and knock back your body weight in India Pale Ale, youll likely remain in your seat for the entire flight
