Four class Club Suite 77H - front mini cabin full, which is then the best seat for 2 Adults and a (almost teen) child? First time in this configuration. The third cabin looks too far from the toilets, but the front of the second too close to them & the galley. Club world of course.

Not really much further from the toilets had you been in the old Club World config where there's no mini cabin. There's always toilets behind you which are nearer in case of emergency.

That makes sense - thinking further though, its probably not much difference really, further forward in the second larger cabin will have more people walking up and down but the third is closer to/behind the engines so more noise there. Think I wont worry about it anyway as the chances are not high that well keep the one example of this class on the route anyway!

Going to be booking CW LAX return March 2022 shortly, and the outbound flight will be on a 77W. SWMBO requires a window seat, and grudgingly if we get the old ying yang seats I'll sit on the aisle, though I love a window seat. But... if we were to get the Club Suites, and I took the aisle seat, it looks to me that the aisle would be too big to reach across, and both sitting back in our seats we would not be able to see each other anyway. On that basis, would there be any point in sitting in the same row, or should I just book a window seat behind her? (so I can at least keep an eye on her ).

In each case, assuming I have the run of the cabin, where would you recommend for the best seats with a good view for her at least on each type?. Mini cabin on the 77H?

The only seats where you can see each other easily are the twin centre seats. The others are misaligned deliberately, to give privacy, even with the door open. The same thing that annoyed many about legacy CW - essentially too close proximity to the next seat - has been designed away. Beyond that, while I think there is some point to avoiding CS seats on a bulkhead - which would often be bassinets - due to some vibration on the frame, the remaining seats are so similar that it makes very little difference where you sit.

You can make no reliable assumption about aircraft allocations in March 2022 at this point.

Hi everyone

does anyone have any recommendations for best J seats/seats to avoid in the 77L config

Im travelling with a friend next year so was thinking an EF pair, probably forward cabin as no bassinet seats, and likely rows 2-6 as not to be too close to galley or toilet.

Other than that I assumed not too much to choose from, but does anyone have any thoughts on my reasoning above? Is the service front to back?

thanks as always,
TMM

You're right that there isn't much difference these days. The main galley for catering is right at the front, but the crews are assigned to seating areas so it doesn't necessarily mean that being at the back means last to be served. EF is the only way you can talk to each other mid flight. I would suggest perhaps 6EF but frankly that isn't massively different to any other EF seat pairing. With CS the debate on seating largely falls away. And as noted previously, the aircraft type certainly can't be assumed at this point.

thanks so much. Yes if aircraft type remains the same come travel 6EF was my thought too, just wanted to check with the team that there wasnt any hidden nuggets of info that would make one cabin/row significantly more or less appealing but this is good to know.

Hi everyone,

Due to be flying CW, London-Orlando in September, on the 32J three-class 777. I know all the usual warnings about planes changing still exist about no planes being confirmed yet but I can't imagine this'll be changing to an A350 or anything like that (though, to be fair, it was scheduled as a 350 for a few weeks). I've never flown this particular plane in Club, so hoping someone can help.

Ideally, we'd love seats where you don't have to climb over anyone and no one climbs over you (though if one of us is climbing over the other it's not the end of the world) - on that basis, am I right in thinking that the only seats which give us this would be 1BD, 1GJ, and 4EF? A seat map posted elsewhere online is less clear about whether or not there is any climbing involved and I just want to clarify. I won't be booking seats at this stage as we're Bronze so hopefully some options will remain available closer to the date.

The only seats with direct aisle access and nobody climbing over you are those at the bulkhead - 1B, 1D, 1G, 1J, 4A, 4E, 4F, 4K. See the seat map here: 32J48W252Y | The BA Source or in the wiki of this thread. Note that Row 4 has one of three windows missing.

for me this is a simple choice, if solo its 4A or 4K, with a slight preference to 4A (but Im nitpicking and very happy with either, just can usually disembark quicker A side and IIRC slightly further from the loo and associated traffic)

If in a couple then 4E/F cant be beaten.

Family of 4 in business on an 'old' 777-300 (2 adults/2 very self-sufficient teens). Thoughts on 2 options:

1) Take the center 4 (currently the full rows of 10,12, 13, 14 and 15 are open)
2) Take 2 pairs of window/aisle (currently we selected 15J/K and 16J/K)

Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I have Gatwick to Cancun booked for earlier next year on Gatwick 777 traveling in economy ( WT ). My wife is disabled and we have arranged special assistance, when I arranged this over the phone ( call center staff extremely helpful and put my mind at ease regarding my wife's mobility problems and that she is tube fed so will need to bring all her liquid feeds as hand luggage ) we were offered free seat allocation, we went for 20 J&K as there seems to be an little extra leg room, these seats are a bassinet seat, is there any chance that we may be moved from these seats if a family with a baby requires it for a cot? The next best seats on the Gatwick 777 in WT seem to be the 3 rows of twin seats at the back, but i've researched these seats and they seem to be noisy due to the galley and toilets ect. Would much prefer to stay in row 20 without a seat in front to recline into our space, but also want to avoid any awkward situations if we are asked to move to accommodate a baby. Thanks
