I read on some other thread that 4 segments is the max allowed.

The rules say no stop-overs are permitted within Europe. Is Moscow considered a part of Europe for the purpose of this rule? No stop-overs in Moscow?

Whole of Russia is in Z2.
Moscow is technically in Europe, but the larger part of Russia is not. They said no stop-overs in Europe. They did not say no stopovers in Z1 and Z2. So it is all a bit unclear. I guess I would need to call ICC to ask whether stop-overs are permitted in Moscow. |

So save yourself a call to the ICC - stopovers aren't permitted in Moscow I'm afraid. |

FRA-NRT-SIN
hi guys,
do you have any idea whether the ICC will allow the following routing: FRA-NRT(stopover)-SIN thanks for your help |
There's a non-zero chance, but it seems pretty back-tracky to me. The only thing that might tip it in your favour is that NRT uses fewer miles than SIN; for this reason I have heard of trips from LHR-MLE being allowed via SIN.

Maybe or maybe not.
Case 1: I tried to book ARN-CPH-SIN(stopover)-PEK as Z2-Z8 oneway award in Dec 2010. But ICC didn't accepted it, so it ended as CPH-SIN(stopover)-PEK. Case 2: I booked ARN-ZRH-SIN(Stopover)-PVG-ZRH-ARN as Z2-Z8 award in Apr 2010.

With the assumption that the stopover will be in Singapore, then this should be a valid routing for a Z2- Z8 ; caveat the ICC rules the minute you try and book, and that the SIN leg is adding around 2,500 miles on ... but it is still a good Z2-Z7-Z8.
I booked ARN-FRA-SIN(stopover)-HKG before. This time, I want to visit PVG if this is possible. |
Want UK to EZE in Jan - would LHR - JNB - EZE work?
Hi,
Been trying to get to USH for Jan 5th (but a few days earlier good) and back from 20/21st Jan (maybe plus a few days) Looks like *A to EZE is the route. In EDI/GLA, but can hop to Europe. Looking for business or first (ie flat bed) Can't find availability via YYZ (Air Canada) or IAD with United. Can find LHR - JNB and then JNB to EZE. Doesn't look much further than EDI-CPG-FRA-IAD-EZE for instance. But would ICC allow? Or any other good ideas. |
EDI-CPH(which I presume you meant)-FRA-IAD-EZE is 10,344 miles; EDI-LHR-JNB-EZE is 11,003 and I don't see why that shouldn't be allowed. In the event that the ICC rejects it, I suggest you play agent roulette.

Would Milan- Zurich- Tokyo narita- Seoul be allowed as one redemption with no stopovers?

I currently have BZE-IAH-YUL-LHR booked on CO and AC in Biz.
I'm keeping an eye out for the direct IAH-LHR route to see if it comes available (unlikely in July I feel), but if LAX-LHR (on NZ) comes available, do you think I would be allowed to do BZE-IAH-LAX-LHR? BZE-IAH-YUL-LHR 5799 miles (current route) BZE-IAH-LAX-LHR 7799 miles (possible route) |
