I actaully think I can get to a Maui (island right beside honolulu) which is in Zone 3 all for 225,000 miles + £691

DUB->LHR->SFO->OGG then OGG->SFO->LHR->DUB

Not much availability on any other carriers for this route at the min so looks like UA it is.

1. Is the new OGG route still valid?

Ronan

Routing is valid but all Hawaï destinations are in zone 11

ronanmagee Apr 10, 2011 1:31 pm

Howdy,

Just wondering if this is still valid? All in First (part from the DUB legs which are in Business)

DUB->FRA->ICN->SFO->OGG then OGG->SFO->ICN->FRA->DUB

1. LH from Dub to FRA (Return)
2. LH from ICN->FRA on the return
3. UA from SFO->OGG (Return)
4. What is the chance of getting OZ from FRA->ICN->SFO and then SFO->ICN if it is listed as RQ?

If its listed as RQ, it could be during OZ's extensive blackout dates
http://us.flyasiana.com/Global/US/en...?fid=CLUB16100
then your chance is zero.

I wouldnt think your route is allowed, they would probably force you via FRA/LAX/SFO, but stranger things have happened.

Also LAX/SFO-OGG are domestic first, no real first class/business class seating there.

If it's showing RQ on ANA, just refresh the screen a couple of times and that should solve the problem. Flights during OZ blackout dates will just show as "-" in all cabin classes.

Since its the same number of miles between Z3-Z8 as it is Z3-Z5, is it doable?

YVR-HKG-x/BKK-DXB on AC/TG
or
YVR-x/NRT-SIN-DXB on AC/SQ

Or would ICC make me go through Europe? ie YVR-x/FRA-DXB which is harder as YVR-europe award availability over summer is next to impossible.

Thank you...!

It's definitely OK with routing via Europe.

Via BKK can be OK. I'm not sure about via SIN route though.
  • YVR-HKG-x/BKK-DXB is about 43% longer than YVR-DXB
  • YVR-x/NRT-SIN-DXB is about 60% longer than YVR-DXB

On the other hand, I have done CPH-SIN(stopover)-PEK, which is about 100% longer than CPH-PEK. So it's worth a try.

Was told no for mel - akl - pvg stop - yyz - lga.

Line dropped. Called back.

Was told yes for mel - akl - pvg stop - yyz - ewr.

Airlines are Air New Zealand and Air Canada.

mel - pvg - ewr is an official route. I was wondering if I would have to book to ewr and then call back to change to lga or if I can get a random agent to accept lga?

DEL-SIN-BKK

Hi everyone,

Any chance that the ICC will allow a routing like DEL-SIN (stop)-BKK as a OW Zone 10 to Zone 7? It is obviously not the most direct route, but still not totally unreasonable, what do you think?

ranjid

DEL-BKK-SIN should be OK, ideally find a date when DEL-BKK direct flight has no award availability or call ICC to find out for sure.

Honeymoon trip

Howdy,

Looking at the following itn for 2 pax:

DUB -> FRA (LH)
FRA -> EWR (LH)
EWR -> SFO (UA)
SFO -> OGG (UA)

And the same for the return.

1. Can I stop over in EWR and SFO and if so how should I book this?

2. I've used the flight calc spreadsheet and it's telling me taxes of £851. Is there likely to be any additional YQ charges for any of the legs and if so how much can I expect?

Ronan

If you want to stop over in both SFO and EWR you have to book this as 2x one ways

Sydney to US/Canada via Asia

Hello All,

Need your expert advise on the following itinerary using DC miles.

SYD-BKK (stop over)
BKK-LAX-LAS (destination)
LAS-YYZ (stop over)
YYZ-YVR-SYD

I new this might be a little to "creative" so any ideas how to utilize my miles in the best way would be much appreciated.

Some questions:

1. On a Pacific-US award can I route via Asia?
2. Can I combine a stop over and open jaw in the same trip?
3. If using one way awards, I'm a allowed a stop over?

Thanks for your help

Per

This wont be allowed, its backtracking - although you never know, try your luck for sure.

You get one stopover on each one-way
