Thanks Onsenman Hello All, I have used this code-X602000 It gives me pretty good deals on the East Coast. You don't need an ID and the company is Mele Associates out of Maryland. I have a friend that works there and she gave me the code-she said that all of the employees and their friends have been using it with no ID checks and good rates. |
Reporting experience with N711304 - I used this code for a booking from STN (London Stansted airport) - comes up on the initial car selection screen with "contract rate" instead of pricing as others have reported, next screen was showing a substantial discount on the rate and a low one-way fee (for the UK). No problems picking the car up. Just one data point, but one more than I think this thread had before!

Evan-Thanks for very detailed reply

Having trouble with these codes...
I'm trying to book a car from August 21st - 29th August in Vancouver, but none of the codes i have seen on this forum seem to work or do anything for me. Could someone tell me a code (and where to put it!) or talk me through something??
Thanks in advance! |
D005297 Avis
I use D005297 frequently and hadn't had a problem with it until last week when I was asked for an ID. This happened at an Avis neighborhood (not airport) location, which did not have an Avis Preferred option (where they preprint the contract and I just grab the keys and go). Have never had a problem with this code at an airport location. (Ironically, I was going to rent the car to transport an amateur sports team to a tournament).
I use it so much that I'm willing to pay to join the organization, but I've not found it (the organization) via online searches. Any ideas? I've found it on this site as "Amateur Sports Assistance Program", but Google's not come up with anything. BTW, D005297 usually works for one way rentals as well, with no mileage charges (within CA at least). I've found it's not as good for weekday rentals - A074800 is the one I've had best luck with for short duration (one or two day) rentals that don't include a weekend. |

sorry to say it, but if you read even the last couple PAGES of this thread you will find your answer.
(here's a hint if you have no patience for that sort of thing - NO) |

(here's a hint if you have no patience for that sort of thing - NO) No one in the past few pages posted that they had used this code and had no issues in the past month-ish - only one person who had problems that had not previously. I was more asking if anyone has had success very recently with it. :) Sorry for the confusion! |

Looks no miles at all with D005297 at SFO
Hi - I just made a reservation at SFO for 1-week in Aug with D005297 and MUAA046 (AAdvantage coupon).
The system accepted both with a good rate, but NO place to specify my AAdvantage number. In the confirmed reservation for "Miles/Points" it says N/A. Same if I do not put a coupon in (no place for AAdvantage#). Does this means D005297 provides a good rate but NO miles at all ? |

Are there any discount codes that work for rentals in Malaysia ? I tried a lot, but no real success so far.

Combining rates?
A search for 'Entertainment' Book revealed nothing, so, is it possible to use an AWD such as g930700 or d005297 and combine it with an Entertainment book coupon # such as MUGA043 for $40 off, or UUGA041 double upgrade? The Ent. Bk has AWD B790000 but the rate isn't as good as the aforementioned.
FWIW, the terms on the EB c/o state "may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon, promotion or offer except your EB discount" and I believe I read some kind of similar exclusions on the codes above but am not familiar enough with the process to know for sure. Can someone in the know please clarify? TIA |
Any decent codes for a weekend rental out of DTW?

Another problem with the Amateur Sports code
Someone else having recent problems with the D005297
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/avis/...97-beware.html Think that the counter request for the AVIS id was a mistake or has this code been completely changed or was it never ASAA to begin with? |

which code to use?
Hi all,
This is my first post here, so please be gentle :). I'm looking to rent an economy car for 4 days in September and go from Miami to Orlando. Here are the "good" codes I've found thus far: A113400 - $98 (Florida State Employees) C031529 - $120 G930700 - $122 D005297 - $131 (Amateur Sports?) K199060 - $131 (Orlando Convention Visitors) Which should I use? I've all but eliminated A113400 from what I've read. Are any of them more likely to go through than others? I think I'd have best luck with K199060. Any advice would be appreciated. If anyone has other codes that are decent, please let me know. Thanks! |

First, I would take the time to enroll in the Avis Preferred program. By doing so, this will allow you to bypass the counter and go straight to your car without being haggled by a rep at the counter. Second, after enrolling in the program; take the time to read through this thread as there are a ton of codes out there that would benefit you in Florida. JMHO Good luck and again, Welcome to Flyertalk! :D |
I'm actually signing up for the Avis Preferred right now, but it asks for me for my AWD # & Company Name. Should I leave that blank and just type in the code each time or should I store something on file?
Nevermind... just tried putting the Orlando Convention Visitors AWD and it said it can't verify it... so I just left the field blank.

In all honestly, this thread IS 108 pages and 1600 posts at this point. Maybe one of use should cull together the detes, and get them back on page one?
|
I agree... when I was told to read through the thread because there are alot of Florida deals, I kind of laughed. I made it through about 30 pages, then jumped to the end and read the last 5. That's why I posted the codes I did, I figured someone would look at them say "Oh... but you forgot about this one" "Or don't try the Florida State Employee code... everyone is getting shot down".

Here are the 2 that were recommended to me: Orlando Convention and visitors code - K199060 Florida Visitor Bureau - J868801 Looking through the thread (search this thread option is WONDERFUL, btw ;) ) there were posts that stated that they (both of them) were available to the general public. When I checked the rates I got $131 for both codes (weekly). Since I am not booking for Orlando, or dropping off in Orlando, I opted for the second code (not sure if the first would work - but better safe than sorry). In a little less than 2 weeks I will find out how it goes. I will post back when I find out. :) |

code B116099 (for LAX)
Has anyone used code B116099 for Lax. It saves me about $40 but I want to make sure I won't get questioned using this code. ;)

Hi, I used the code K199060 and got the same rate as B116099. I then called Avis to confirm that I could use the code and they said yes and no ID or proof needed. This code is from the Orlando Visitors and Convention group and I also went on their website and found the code available for use. So I would use the K199060 just to be safe. :)

If you are concerned about it, I suggest you make a backup reservation elsewhere. |

Please DO NOT call Avis or any other travel vendor to question codes or discounts you find here or on other sites. That is the number one reason these discounts stop working.

I called them and said a friend gave me the code and they asked where they got it from and I said the Orlando Visitors group. I DID NOT mention this site! I won't do that again, but I didn't realize that was "not allowed". Accept my apologies :( I also went on the Orlando Visitors website and found the code there |
One question, I found this AWD# Q339400 CPN# MUWA221 which is said to give you 25% off plus $30 off. My question is if this cpn code work alone by giving $30 off or it only works with the specific AWD number, coz I found D005297 giving me better rate and seemed to be stackable with this coupon.
Thanks. |
check the D005297 Beware thread
