Avis corporate codes

I'd like to get a avis corporate number so that i can rent a car, I am under 21. A number that would waive the underage fee. For NY and other states as well. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Flyertalk. If you're a college student, your college may have codes that waive underage fees. Otherwise, you're going to be paying the fees. And even if you find some corporate code that waives the fees, if you get in an accident or anything, you're going to be pretty screwed.

AWD "C031529". It did good for me at LAS and Canadian Locations.

First of all, log out of MyAvis and then go to the www.islandair.com. They have links to discount car rentals. Click on Avis, and select your dates. Don't enter your Preferred number.

The AWD box will automatically be populated with the D802300 code.

I managed to get an intermediate for 10 days in LIH for $330, all in.

I was going to the Avis site and inserting the code. After I followed your directions of going to the Island Air website and linking thru there it worked great. Thanks again.

TravelingGator Aug 2, 2006 4:07 pm

island air

The Island Air code works great, but I also went to www.wailuabay.com and got some spectacular rates there, plus they have a coupon on their site for a free upgrade!! go check it out. You can book through their website or call them for more options. I ended up finding a convertible for a great price.

Mary2e Aug 3, 2006 6:23 am

That site resulted in a substantially HIGHER rate for Avis rentals for both the intermediate I have booked, as well as for a convertible.

A153700 Avis Employee Discount Rate

A153700 Avis Employee Discount Rate

Can i get away with this? Will they not ask me for Avis employee id or something? is it not playing with them on thier territory??

Do you know anyone who has done it?

Mary2e Aug 3, 2006 6:47 am

Yes, and they got caught and had to pay full price for the rental if they wanted it.

If you don't have an Avis employee id, don't use the code.

a little hint. if you showed up at my counter and tried to use this code, you wouldnt get the rate you were hoping you would, and no amount of arguing will sway me.

and I am a nice guy.

The last guy who tried this ended up with a 112 dollar a day van when the employee rate was 34$ a day.

thats what happens when we sell out and you get caught using a rate code your not eligible for. in all honesty, only the employee rate, specific company rates, and rates that allow underage drivers are closely monitored.

But at any given time, someone could call your bluff.

Is there any info on this awd number? I tried this code for a rental in Oz and seems to give a rather good rate. I know that the NSW or Queensland govt AWD is way much better, but am not going to use that since it is a really big risk.

Any other good codes for Oz would be welcomed. My rentals would be short rentals, 2-4 days type of rentals.

Thanks.

D005297 gives a GREAT rate in New York.

It says that a credit card is not necessary for this reservation. Is that a new thing (haven't rented from Avis in awhile).

Just called Avis and they said it is the "1992 quarterly MRA offer". I have no idea what that means, though it does seem to give really good rates for FP.

Has anyone used this in the past successfully?

If you're asking about A888813, I used it successfully and without any problems in French Polynesia. As I stated in my posting above, AVIS itself inserted that code in my reservation. I did not ask for it, or even know it existed. In addition to that, in Moorea I was given a two category upgrade. In Papeete, no upgrade, with the same code and AVIS Select. Even with all of these perks, I wound up with what seemed like a tiny shift car at a rate that seemed astronomical.

Check you are entering the code in the right box, the top one of the three and if copy/pasting make sure there are no spaces copied over too as this can sometimes upset databases.

I just used code D005297 and got a great discount on a weekly rental. IS there anything I should know about this code/rate. Will I need to show anything to the counter when I pick up the car and pay?

It says it's a corporate discount on the receipt.

Any help would be great.

Hi con771,

Welcome to FT! I have used this code loads of times and NEVER been asked about it. I think it is the Youth Sport Program if I recall so would just say I work for "Sport Scotland" and was booked the car by the office! Naughty but never had to do it!

When I returned the recent car to ORD the chap laughed as the total rate for the day was less than a cab to O'Hare! He didn't ask how I got the rate so low so they must be used to it!

I just called Avis 1-800 nnumber to confirm my reservation for next week and the guy told me to bring my DL, and Amature Sports Assistance Program membership to my pick-up location since I was getting the discount.

Anyone hear of this before? Should I worry?

Yet another lost soul looking for a good oneway rate.

I'm looking to rent from SEA on 9/2 and return to PDX on 9/10. Any ideas?

I should say that I don't really care about the car class or even the rental company. I'm posting in avis because my preferred select status has not expired.

Thanks

I just did a weeklong one-way rental SEA-PDX and found that National was cheapest with a decent contract code and their $25-off one-way coupon from their website. 8-days may be different, though, and watch out for those SEA airport taxes/fees. You'll save a fortune in fees/taxes if you take Amtrak SEA-PDX and rent in PDX instead.

I just used the ASAP discount for a week-long rental in Calgary. I had no problems regarding being asked for ID.

I had reserved a full size car and they were out of them. They gave me a van but when we went out to get it, it was dirty inside and out. I've never gone to rent a car that hasn't even been washed...bugs all over the windshield, etc. I complained and they gave us a Crown Victoria for the same rate. I was very happy with the discount applied!

This code, D454000, is giving great rates all over. Any idea who it stands for? I'm not sure what that means or what needs to be shown at rental.

The code is one I got for my wedding guests that came to Toronto. No particualar ID or membership is required. Use it while you can as I'm not sure until when and where else it's valid. But I did receive this code to share with my family and friends.

Has anyone ever reported a rejection or even a question to show "ID" (besides using the Avis employee AWD)?? I bet that the associated entity with each AWD isn't even shown on the screen that the desk agent sees. But let's say they do know that I used code D005591 and that is apparently tied to the National Council of Youth Sports -- how do you imagine they are going to "police" the verification process across the world? They're not....it just isn't feasible.

Oh, and I tried to get AutoEurope to price-match, but they could only go so far as their cost -- and couldn't touch the 40% off rate via Avis.

Good luck!

I too need a 1 week rental in France next month and this returned a great rate. Just curious since the quote is in US dollars was that how it was charged to your CC or was it a corresponding rate in Euro? I have rented from AVIS plenty in the US but never overseas.

Has anyone used the Citifinancial code, A074800, without any problems? Do they ask for any ID? I got a great rate for Chicago this weekend with it.

Miami? Expedia is doing better...

I've been punching in all these codes for a MIA 3 day 12 hr rental.

I found that booking a flight + car with expedia gives me the cheapest rate --20/day + tons of taxes, but still comes in significantly lower than using all these codes.

Same thing happened when I rented in Boston a few months ago -- I saved $60 for a three day rental by booking the airfare and car together on expedia. Happily, the flights were with AA so while I paid $5 more for the tickets for booking on expedia (rather than directly with AA) it still saved me a lot of money.

If anyone knows of a better code to try for Florida, please let me know?

ReelChief Sep 1, 2006 11:19 am

Last year in Australia and New Zealand, I received good rates when booking at Avis through BA/QF connections-- or at least good BA miles. In a few months I will be going back to AU/NZ and need consecutive rentals for 7 days from AKL, 5 days from ADL, 4 days from CNS, and 4 days from PER. Does anyone know of a deal where one can get lower rates for such consecutive rentals from different locations? Or a good code to use for this planned pattern?

nmenaker Sep 5, 2006 11:11 am

So, I have used the ASAP code quite sucessfully in the past 1.5 years, never asked, never had an issue. Even had a billing and walkup issue, where the reservation was not there. I had to go to the counter, pull up the reservation and then walked away fine. As well, I once had a billing issue where after the fact I had to call in and have a price change. No questions asked, code came up fine with the original reservation.

No I ask you. Would you let your PARENTS use the ASAP code? My guess is, WHY NOT, but we all are probably a bit more savvy at managing the POTENTIAL ins and outs of using an AWD code, and having a good answer ready.

Lemme know your thoughts. It just put a 1200.00$ call up CADILLAC reservation, down to 540$

:-)

Because this topic is sooooooo long, I find it helps to do a search for something specific in this thread - try entering in the search AWD Code P400000 or try putting in List of Avis Discount Codes.

Thanks!

Cheapest Avis at LHR

FYI - I've been looking for a car for the first week of October out of LHR. By far the cheapest rate was from Expedia UK - about a hundred bucks cheaper than using any of the rate codes for a week, inclusive.
