Yes this happened to me too. Usually the 10% rebates post within a day or two of booking, but I redeemed 360k miles and the 10% rebate did not post. I called Lifemiles, provided the ticket numbers and PNRs, and they opened a case number for me. So far it's been 2 weeks with no resolution.

Cancellation data point:
You can only get free cancellation either 48 hours in advance or departure OR 24 hours after original departure (after you no-show). A call is required. The $25 booking fee is retained by Avianca. I asked the agent 3 times if I had it correct, that I will need to no-show the flight on the partner carrier (UA) then call 24 hours after departure. Makes me extremely nervous, but that's Avianca for you! I'm going to call and ask a different agent, but that seems extremely wild. On a different note, my 10% rebate has been posting reliably. I also had Lite plan for one month, upgraded to Basic for the second month, which became effective on the next calendar day, when I was billed the new annual fee. My 6-month counter reset to 1. |

Is Lifemiles+ gone?
I only see Club Lifemiles available to me. And when I say See, Club LIfemiles reminds me every screen every second to sign up for up to 25% off. I'm tempted to get it just to stop the ads. Would hop on LM+ in a second as free flight cancelation would be a great benefit and DP's say you can cancel the membership by removing your credit card. |

Lifemiles is a trash company. Do not buy its service, Otherwise You will regret. 10% is for miles redeemed after you purchased its service. Even though, I have three redemptions and two of them finished two weeks ago and never see 10% miles back. Also free change and cancelation is also for redemption after you paid service, not for prior redemption. You need to pay at least 6 months before you can cancel it.
Most of times you cannot book your reservation online, even you call, they just told you it is unavailable even it is available on other *A partners. I will used all my miles and cancel my subscription and credit card. I understand the T&Cs say not possible without a fee, but just wondering if that's how the systems are actually coded! |
