Did you get 2x 10% rebate or a single 20% rebate? I saw the same thing, but the rebate happened as 2 10% rebates.

Another oddity. I used the new LifeMile Amex card to pay for the fees and it almost looks like I got double charged with two transactions but one of the two seems like it was never "posted" even though the transaction detail said processed.

Ok. I just made another redemption today. J ticket with LX MIA to PRG for 63,000 miles and
$70 in taxes and fees. This was earlier today. I just checked my lifemiles account and I got credited 3 x 6,300 miles back today so the total price is 44,100 miles and $70…

I suppose you haven’t flown the ticket, right? I made a redemption of 130k miles 3 weeks ago but haven’t received the 10% back. I called them; they said the 10% back would be given after I flew the ticket. The T&C said the discount is 15 days after redemption, not after the flight,

I received 2x10% rebate today for my redemption on July 9th. However, a few hours later they were both cancelled. Did the same happen to your miles?

Lifemiles emailed me a few days ago stating that they made the mistake and the "extra" rebates are being removed from the account now.

Any experience cancelling tickets? Is it online or do you have to call in? Do they know about the new features?

I just hit the 3K spending mark to receive the sign up bonus (about $1500 spend per each statement - two so far) and so technically I should have received an additional 4000 LM based on me signing up for the basic plan.

I am $6.xx away from getting the $4500 for the Elite card. I will wait for my $12 Club LifeMiles sub to hit on August 1 to get it.

I've been getting the 600/mo from Club LifeMiles and 500/mo from the LifeMiles+ sub (included with the Elite card) on the dates those subs started (1st of the month for Club LifeMiles, the 14th for LifeMiles+).

But have you gotten the LifeMiles+ credit card "extra miles" as shown below?

Upon signing up, I took the extra miles to mean that a $1000 monthly spend as a Basic member meant 2000 bonus LM on top of the 2000 LM I got monthly from being a member. The monthly miles have posted - just not those "extra miles."

I still don't understand the meaning of these extra miles percentages. I guess it means that if you have generated enough miles of spend to get 1,000 miles, you'll get 100% match up to 1000 miles? So, if you have higher levels of LifeMiles+ the match max will be higher. So for example, if you only spend $1000 of non-category spend for 1000 miles, you are eligible for 1000 miles. If you only spend $500 on non-Avianca travel & restaurants, you'll get 1000 miles. If you only spend $334 on Avianca-related travel, you'll get 1000 miles. For my July-August statement, it looks like right now I'm only eligible for 680 miles as all $685 I've spent, rounded down to $680 (which is bs because I have a few $xx.99 purchases which will ROUND DOWN...ffs) are all 1x category spend. I guess I messed up with my spending and put everything in the first month - I should have spaced out the $4500 over 3 months to get max benefit. Thing is, I wanted to make use of the GiftCards.com 10% Father's day $100 VISA prepaid discount to pay for my property taxes, so that put $3400 immediately (I really don't have any major purchases that would get me to $4500 without putting my property taxes on the CC, and I might as well have made a LITTLE bit of cash back using the GIftCards.com deal then lose out by paying directly on the CC due to CC processing fees). My wife will make out better - $1300 in the first month, and I will try to space out the remaining $3200 over the next two months. I'm hoping the Giftcards.com deal comes back again soon so I can get more of those $100 gift cards for the second payment of my property taxes.

My statement shows:
600 miles purchase (from Club LifeMiles)
3685 miles accrual with Cardless
36 miles accrual with Cardless
222 miles accrual with Cardless
500 miles purchase (from LifeMiles+)

Between the time I signed up for the card and the end of the statement, $36 worth of spending was for Avianca stuff which, to be honest, was very strange - it shows in Cardless as a double charge of $12 in July for Club LifeMiles (I should only have one charge in June and one in July, but I have two in July for $12), which people on the phone at LifeMiles seemed to acknowledge, but that second $12 charge doesn't show on my statement nor does it affect my available balance, it only shows in the app, yet I still received the 36 miles bonus for $36 of spending as you see there.

Everything is rounded down, sadly.

222 = spend on stuff categorized as travel ($99.30 for United, 99 miles. $24 for Avianca via Club LifeMiles. [99x2]+24= 222). This is my best math guess.
3685 = spend on everything else
36 = probably the 1x bonus for Avianca spend which, like I said, is weird because you can see from the 222 miles I only really billed $24, but they are giving me credit like I spent $36. So weird.

I have not received the double miles (up to 1000) bonus. According to the terms, LifeMiles is responsible for this bonus not Cardless.


As a side note, LifeMiles has an icon next to the miles accruals allowing me to pay to 2-8x the miles. Depending on what multiplier you use, this actually offers a BETTER deal than the current 160% miles promotion as long as you do the 6 or 8x multiplier (the 3x is also better, but only by a slight amount, $0.012649/mile after 15% discount vs $0.012692/mile). If you pay for the purchase using your Avianca card you'll get a 15% discount applied to the purchase. The 160% promotion (through August 15) gets you $0.012692/mile, whereas this multiplier opportunity gets you $0.011923/mile. So, for example, if I take the 3685 miles in my account and want to 8x them, i'd get 29,480 miles and it'd cost $351.48 after 15% discount. At $0.012692/mile that would cost me $374.17 under the 160% promotion. It is interesting that this 15% discount isn't offered for the 160% promo since they are both offered by Points a Plusgrade Company.

also very curious. Recently heard that you have to cancel within 72 hours of your flight even with LM plus ? I can’t find that in the terms of program. Anyone know ?

Did you ever get an answer to this? I just booked for a party of 3 using miles from my account, so I'm a little nervous.

Seems the LM+ subscription no longer carries the 10% miles back on Star Alliance redemptions.
