i booked tickets, will wait 15 days, but there was no banner saying these tickets earn 10 percent back

Were they Avianca flights or Star Alliance partner flights?

Did you already receive notice that your status was upgraded and that you received your complementary LifeMiles+ membership? Did you book while it was active? It took a few days after approval of the card to receive notification of my status and LifeMiles+ membership, before which I was still showing as a pleb user of LifeMiles website. If I recall correctly, I was approved for the card on Jun 10, I received notification of LifeMiles Silver/LifeMiles+ status on Jun 13, I received the physical card in the mail on Jun 17.

Does anyone know if you can add a Cardless AMEX card to the traditional AMEX online portal to gain easier access to AMEX offers?

I just spoke to an agent with Lifemiles. He confirmed free cancellation of current award flights for lifemiles basic or higher. The miles should be credited back immediately and taxes and fees up to 30 days but my personal experience is that they are refunded much quicker.

Do you have to call to cancel the ticket in order to get fully refund? Thanks.[/u][/s]

It’s been over a month since I joined Lifemiles+ and made a booking a few days later. Still havent received the 10% points back. Has anyone else gotten points back on their bookings?

When can I change lifemiles+ subscription?

Hello all,

I am not sure whether I can change lifemiles+ subscription plan every 12mo, 6mo, or every month? I got confused when reading the TOC below:

The term of the subscription is 12 months from the date of subscription and will be automatically renewed for successive 12-month periods. If the member does not want to renew his subscription, they must cancel it here before the next charge is made. A member may terminate the monthly subscription at any time after a mandatory 6 months of membership. Changes between plans will be allowed once the member is up to date with their payments and the changes will take effect on the next payment date. These changes of plan can only be made once each month.”

Does it mean that we should subscribe to lifemiles+ at least for 6mo, but we can change plan (eg from Lite to Basic) every month?

Thanks!

I am also looking into signing up for the 10% rebate. Just wondering if it's a 12 months commitment.

NOT YET

Lifemiles is a trash company. Do not buy its service, Otherwise You will regret. 10% is for miles redeemed after you purchased its service. Even though, I have three redemptions and two of them finished two weeks ago and never see 10% miles back. Also free change and cancelation is also for redemption after you paid service, not for prior redemption. You need to pay at least 6 months before you can cancel it.

Most of times you cannot book your reservation online, even you call, they just told you it is unavailable even it is available on other *A partners. I will used all my miles and cancel my subscription and credit card.

Thank you for your reply. May I confirm that to use the free cancellation, I should purchase the award flight when I am already on Basic subscription?

I thought it’s okay to purchase with Lite subscription, but change to Basic prior to making cancellation. Which one is correct? Thanks!

Or in other words, you researched LifeMiles in advance and LifeMiles met your expectations...

I booked a Star Alliance flight on 6/16 and the 10% rebate was posted 6/30 yesterday.

I don't think you can add the cardless Amex to the "real" Amex portal since it is just an amex branded card. I cannot even download transactions into Quicken as cardless is not a bank supported.

On 7/5, my account got another credit which matches the 10% rebate for a second time. It almost looks like my rebates for the last set of tickets were double dipped.

It would not make sense if you purchased the ticket without the Basic subscription then upgrade to Basic you need the service. If life insurance works this way, there would be a lot of millionaires out there. :-) But stranger things have happened, may be this is one of them. But if LifeMiles+ operates this way, I can see this product go down the drain very soon.

I booked three J tickets MIA-LIS-BCN with TAP on Saturday for 189,000 miles. Today, three days later I received not 1 x 10% back but 20% back. Total number of miles used was three J tickets was 151,200 and $220 in taxes and fees.. pretty great value
