Any existing Lifemiles+ members receive an email to resubscribe? I never cancelled my subscription so the email is puzzling. As far as I can tell I'm still subscribed.

Did anyone get a targeted offer for discounted Lifemiles+ subscription? I received this and seems all wrong and even when I clicked through to to the subscription page it only shows the lowest as $20 and less miles than screenshot.

Same for me I wanna be a member for 12 usd but they asked for 20 usd on the payment so I cancelled

I did...but I'm already a LM+ member through the Cardless credit card. Their system is so bush league.

Just called and asked twice: if I join today I will not be able to cancel a LifeMiles booking that was made two month ago, the ticket has to be issued during the membership and you need to be a member to cancel.

Last month, I subscribed to Lifemiles+ Basic and 50 USD was charged to my credit card.
Today, I received an email saying: ‘We had an issue with the payment of your Basic Plan. Please verify your account information and, if necessary, provide a new credit card.’ I tried three different credit cards and still got the same message. (None of the enquiries have been received by the credit card companies!) I then called the call centre and they said, I had to wait for their second and third emails within the next 21 days to see if it would work, but in the meantime my membership is suspended! Seriously? They said there was nothing else they could do. What kind of crap is this? |
Just looking at Plan 1 for Lifemiles+ and I can see the no change/cancellation fee benefit no longer appears to be showing on their website? Was this benefit removed or is it just not highlighted on the home page?

I should have clarified. This perk is no longer showing for any of the plans. Otherwise I would have considered plan 2 (basic).

Also looking on the desktop site. Perhaps it is different for UK residents?

I just visited the page using a UK VPN and it shows cancellation as a benefit.

My account is UK-registered and the sign-up page does show 'no fees for changes or cancellation' as one of the benefits. My page look like mlqsko's (with symbols in blue/purple) whereas yours look different (with symbols in red). Wondering whether we are accessing different pages?

So I think I've figured out what the discrepancy is. It seems the email promo I received is actually in relation to LifeMiles+ Latin America membership which is different to LifeMiles+ World, since it doesn't include the discount on Star Alliance Redemptions or the elimination of cancellation / change fees. As far as I can tell, the LifeMiles+ Latin America is equivalent to the old Club LifeMiles benefits so it seems there are still selling 2 different "types" of membership that can be held simultaneously. The LifeMiles+ Latin America is still described as Plan 1, Plan 2, etc. (rather than lite / basic) and is $12/month for lowest membership level. The T&C's of the email promo even refer to right to modify Club LifeMiles plan.
