This is a great development. Thanks for flagging. Just used it after waiting in vain for 30 minutes on hold. Miles credited instantly. Will save a lot of time going forward.

Not sure if targeted but just got an email for a promotion of 2 for 1 redemption tickets for Lifemiles+ members. Seemed like a decent deal.
Several Restrictions were: Avianca metal only , Europe routes excluded Redeem between November 12 and 21, 2025. Applies for every 2 tickets redeemed within the same booking. Miles will be credited back 15 days after completing the trip. *Offer valid exclusively for Lifemiles Plus members. Applies only to redemptions with avianca, excluding routes to Europe. The miles will be credited 15 days after the end date of the trip. Flight dates: from November 13th , 2025 to March 15th , 2026, excluding December 15th, 2025 to January 15th , 2026. |

Looks like when booking under the the 2-4-1 scheme, the miles are not returned until 15 days AFTER travel has commenced. |
Can one upgrade from lite to basic during the first 6 months and be eligible for free cancellation for a ticket booked before upgrading the plan?
|
No. You must be basic at the day ticket was issued
|
Thanks.
I bought the basic membership but since then I can't find any Air India redemption flights on lifemiles even though I can see availability on Krisflyer/Air Canada Is it normal for Lifemiles to pull complete inventory for an airline. I tried random dates going 6-7 months ahead but no AI flights to be found. |

Yes, it was available before buying it.
I don't think it has anything to do with membership. It seems to be technical glitch they seem to have pulled all AI inventory. Life miles availability was also showing on Point.me but not anymore. My question is it common issue with LM where they just lose access/pull inventory? |
It is common. Everything can be back to normal in an hour ... or tomorrow ... or in a week.
|
Thanks for giving hope.....

Hello, I just Subscribed to Lifemiles+ Plan and received the monthly miles right after.
My question is when will I receive the december miles? on the Dec 1st? one month from now? or random day? Thanks! |

I also can't see any AI inventory. Anyone knows if call centre has access to it? It seems like just a Lifemiles thing

Lifemiles plus Americas vs World
The online refund system seems to work indeed!
Would I need a Lifemiles plus World subscription (the one sold in the US) to qualify for the free cancellation? The Lifemiles plus Americas subscription is different/cheaper, and I do not see the free cancellation option in its benefits list at https://www.lifemiles.com/landing/clublm (you may have to vpn to the Lifemiles plus page using a Latin American location; I am currently based in the region). https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...86c7fd0e5d.png https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...cd0252ad6f.png

I take that back, just spoke with someone at 4am Colombia time. Following this, except last step is pressing number 2
As agent advised me, apparently there's a way to cancel awards online now, here are the steps: You can easily request a refund directly at https://www.lifemiles.com/fly/find Steps to request a refund: · Select “Other Services” → “Refund with miles”. · Click “Refund Request” and log in using PNR + Last Name, TKT + Last Name, or EMD + Last Name. · Verify passenger information and contact email. · Select refund reason (voluntary). · Choose refund method: card, voucher, or miles. · Confirm and pay the redeposit fee. You’ll receive confirmation and refund summary. Completed the cancellation (I am LM+ so free, less the $25 redemption fee), miles refunded instantly, taxes take up to 30 calendar days as per agent. Update: refund (for the cash) approved and issued 24h~ later and hit my card This is quite impressive. |
