They're onto us waiting until they sweeten the deal as the promo period comes to an end.

Really no reason for me to buy miles given I can't book two *A airlines viz. SA and CA, booking a layover of > 4 hours is a mission (if possible at all)... etc. Forget the tricks - I just want to be able to book bog standard partner awards!

Hooray! Last year they ran promotions in Sept and Oct, with Oct having the higher % promotion.

What is likelihood of a similar back-to-back promotion this year? Please consult your magic 8 balls.

$14.36 per 1000 at the top discount of 30% and the US price of $33/k. I just don't need that much more, and $15 as needed works fine for me. Now, 50% and you might get me tempted to raid the kiddies' college fund.

(Trouble is, trying to use up so much LM domestic puts me on UA, where I have no status, and a couple unresolved complaints. But it works great for intra-LatAm and one-ways and flexible bookings.)

Do I remember correctly seeing a price different from the $33 when I was logging in from Colombia a couple years back? Don't forget to use your "no foreign transaction fee" credit cards, or you lose much of the discount.

Some time after you booked. There are threads about it. I have made several SA redemptions in the past - but for a while now nothing. Not even JNB-CPT which has loads of flights a day.

UA shows SA award availability so I know there is some and I checked it was not phantom availability by looking on the SA Voyager site.

What I don't like is that the J requirement from Europe to Asia, is the same from N.America to Asia. Don't get their logic.

See great availability in biz to various parts of Europe throughout summer of next year. Looking at heading to Croatia and the surrounding area in the early fall.

you mean 25%? or is the 35% targeted? I'm seeing 25% both in the email they sent last night and on the website.

Must be targeted.

135% seems decent, but worth holding out for 150%?

Have they ever done 150%?

In any case, find it difficult to book my routes with LM, so still sitting on some LifeMiles...
