Need 3,000 lifemiles
Hi,
Can someone with 3,000 avianca lifemiles trade with me? I have miles with most programs.
I'm in Coca, Ecuador and need to get back to Quito. It's either a 10 hour bus ride or a 35 minute flight, which is $80. Would really help give me extra time in Quito. Purchasing the miles would cost $90.
Please let me know within a few hours.

A reminder, trading of points and miles are not allowed anywhere on Flyertalk, except the "Coupon Connection" forum. Access to that forum is available to members with a significant number of lifetime posts and tenure.

I hope you are right. So, not sure about this but... what's the best value in terms of purchasing lifemiles? DO you guys buy A LOT and then use them for cash+points hitting the cash sweet spot, or what? I am a newbie with Lifemiles, and I am looking to start to take advantage of cheap biz class tickets and buy miles promos more often going forward.
thanks!
thanks!

first, make an account. most promos need the account to have been active for at least 2 weeks by the time the promo is announced.
Second, start researching on routes, award space availability trends, and get a hang of the LM site. (remember that many rapid searches will lead to a "captcha screen" pop-up, that can be irritating)
third, set up your phone pin, and check that your credit card is usable in Colombia. you dont want to find an award but then cant book it online/phone because your credit card fraud protection gets it blocked from colombia.
fourth, read the LM F&J routes savings thread, last 10 pages, to get an idea of whats going on.
