It says, Delta Airlines Atlanta. Will report back next week or will check it everyday. I see people saying theirs posted 2 days after. Mine posted on the 7th. We will see...

Yep! Sure enough they posted as three separate $50 charges and I got three credits the next day!

Also, an interesting data point on this... when my statement arrived i found I got 5X points for the $50 eCert charges. So as an added bonus 1000 MR points just for using my $200 credit!

What's the latest data point on reimbursements for seat lurchases? I still have $200 available, F is available for $379 (intl config LAX to ATL). Since it's leobabpr my last time flying DL this year, I'll take transcon for $179.

This is very much YMMV. Most of the successful instances I've seen were when the customer used at least one gift card in the transaction and put the remainder on the card.

It seems to work mainly on small to medium dollar value amounts. I tried it as described with an $1100 ticket and was unsuccessful. Conversely, I tried it as described with a $329 ticket and was successful.

Reimbursed 5 x $50 on the Hilton Aspire for $250 total. Single purchase, posted as 5 transactions and credited the next day.

Bought 4x $50 DL gift certs on delta.com on April 10th. All posted as being from Delta and all were reimbursed on April 12th (appeared on April 13th).

New one for me: Currently out of the country, so, logged into the DL India site, went to my profile, and purchased a $50 GC. Will report back on the experience! Fingers crossed!!

An update: The charge posted a few days later, and I received the credit today: a couple of days after the charge had posted!! I purchased 3x$50 eGCs today! Will report back when I receive the credit.

i cant find the answer even tho I should know this by now.. The max amount of gift cards you can use per transaction is 3x $50?

mia Apr 19, 2018 9:31 am

Correct, see the Wikipost at the top of the thread:

A maximum of three eCerts may be redeemed per online transaction. Splitting a round-trip into two one-ways will allow you to use additional eCerts, but in some cases two one-ways may cost more than a single roundtrip so compare carefully to decide whether using more than 3 certs on a single trip is worthwhile.

Worked just fine again this year. 4x50. Total time 3 or 4 days.

There's a link to the Delta GC T&C's in the wiki at the top of the page. Probably find the answer there, huh? (I mean, I did.)
