Not really, if both flights are J7C0 then there's not much more EF can tell you about upgrade odds. You can see that the later flight appears to be slightly less full in economy (more lower fare buckets available), but I'm guessing you could probably gauge that from the seatmap.

This week in domestic upgrades:

LAX-ORD, Monday, ~430pm departure, 738: cleared at 100 hours
HOU-DFW, Thursday, ~430pm departure, CR7, cleared at 100 hours
[DFW-DEN, Thursday, ~7pm departure, A321, cleared at 100 hours]

The HOU-DFW was delayed by nearly 3 hours, meaning I missed the connection in DFW and did not fly that flight. Ended up on a later flight in an exit row middle seat. There was yet a later DEN-DFW flight I could have taken, where I would have cleared into first, but elected to get home sooner rather than wait for domestic F. Not counting this flight in my signature stats.

Hi I was wondering how the purchased upgrades work... I got an email saying I can upgrade to F for a trip next week but when I click on it and after I put in my last name it just takes me to the trip but I see nowhere anything about upgrading and how much it is. I checked in the app and there is nothing. Does anyone know where I can see what this offer is.. Hoping for a comp one but F seats are running out so I would be interested to see how much more they want to go up to F.

JFK-MIA ~ Sunday at 11:15 AM Departure - 777-200 - No UG at T-72 or thereafter 0 cleared at the gate
MIA-JFK ~ Thursday 8:15 PM Departure - 777-200 - No UG at T-72 or thereafter 2 cleared at the gate

I thought these would be easy UGs as a Platinum Pro on the 777 and boy was I wrong (Hub to Hub effect maybe?). I have received a grand total of 1 complimentary UG so far this year on the very exciting CLT to BUF route :rolleyes:.

Wow I must be doing something wrong, I'm Platinum Pro and I'm riding in the back more than when I was Platinum. Heck I was in 1st more as a US Silver.

Platinum Pro I've gotten 0 out 45 upgrades flying from and to Miami in the last 12 plus months flying every plane imaginable on non commuter days . Miami is a desert for upgrades..to me at least and I live here.:D I'd be curious if anyone gets upgrades from/to Miami now unless they're CK or or high res EXP.

MIA-BOS on a Tuesday night last fall was my only missed upgrade in 2022. They were offering very aggressive instant upgrades, which snapped up the seats. All was fine as row 17 with a middle open had plenty of space.

I was looking at taking the 772 JFK-MIA a couple of months ago and all of the flights I looked at were basically booked full in J. Cheap pricing and noting on the website that you get a lie flat probably causes a lot of people to buy up.

Going for a comp upgrade for first time…. LAX -jfk on the later red eye. Digits worry a shot cause price of J /F can be crazy on this route. I got an email saying I can buy up but I can’t find any offer to buy up. Just curious if it’s a good deal or just the difference of what I kid and what J is now. Hoping to get the upgrade. 9 of 20 still open and we’re inside 100 hours

Back when I was EXP for many years, I rarely missed an upgrade but upgrade pricing being what it is now I think the chances of getting anything on my routes are slim to none now (MIA to JFK, LAX, ORD, DFW). It was nice while it lasted. Plat pro good for lounges and boarding only for me. I cant justify spending an extra 370-400 on something just for 2-4 hrs. Those who can, it's good for them but it'd be nice if the airline held a few back for us filthy upgrade chasers but we're WAY down the totem pole :D but 'revenue is king' before anyone comes back with a pithy response ;)
