This week's flights - probably the last for the calendar year. My counts reset on Jan 1...
DEN-CLT, 738, Sunday, ~1030am: Did not clear (2 out of 32 at depature) CLT-DCA, 738, Sunday, ~530pm: Cleared at ~12 hours DCA-CLT, 738, Tuesday, ~1030am: Cleared at ~24 hours CLT-DEN, A321, Tuesday, ~130pm: Cleared at 100 hours Somewhere around 270K LP probably. |
Last Sunday AM MIA/DFW 788 flight. Number 10 on the list (around 250K LP 12 month rolling). One person cleared at the gate not sure onboard. Yesterday Tuesday IAH/MIA E175 flight purchased an upgrade for $129. Numerous Group one passengers headed back to Y. One person upgraded onboard. EXPs not clearing Sunday AM and Saturday PM as well as E175/CRJ900 flights has now become a more much happening thing.

Not EXP, I'm PP, but my BNA-DCA this weekend has 6 open F seats and 7 MCE occupied including me +1, we're T-40 right now and no one has cleared yet. But they continue to hawk $97 upgrades in the app. |
PPro with 110k LPs this cycle
12/13 AA2118 LAX-AUS: Upgraded at T-26 despite there being 10 seats open since the PPro window. Ended up SDFC’ing to AA539. 17 on list, no one cleared. 12/14 AA3666 AUS-MSY: Upgraded at T-71 with a companion, 2 people on the list for zero seats. 12/14 AA1299 AUS-DFW: Switched to this due to IRROPS. 5 and 6 out of 18 for 0 seats. 12/14 AA3765 DFW-BTR: Upgraded at the gate. We were 1 and 2 on the list out of 5 for 4 seats. One no show, so all ended up clearing 12/15 AA5131 BTR-CLT: Upgraded at T-70. 2 on the list with 1 clearing. 12/15 AA1855 CLT-DCA: 10/29 on the list for 2 seats |

That east coast storm seemed to have spooked the crew though, 1 drink up front and I believe economy only got water. They should probably refund people who buy MCE when that happens tbh. Recent trip as Gold:
12/7 TLH -> CLT: Not upgraded, but perhaps should have been since there was an open J seat and I was #1 on the list. Had an entire Main Cabin Extra exit row to myself, so I'm not complaining. 12/7 CLT -> GRR: Not upgraded and not close. But got another "whole exit row just for me". 12/15 GRR -> CLT: Not upgraded and not close. But got another "whole exit row just for me". 12/15 CLT -> TLH: Cleared at T-24! Was even able to choose 1A on the regional jet - my favorite seat on the plane. So I went 1 for 4, maybe could have been 2 for 4 if I had been pushy on that very early outgoing flight. Platinum now (amazing how fast that happened - aa.com hotels miles & LP for this trip posted today and pushed me over 75K LP). |
EXP around $250K LP. MIA/CLT last Saturday, 772. Number six on list, five cleared. But I had a PE seat. CLT/PHX paid upgrade, long list maybe one cleared. Yesterday, PHX/LAS cleared at T-100. LAS/MIA number 2 on a long list. Cleared as I scanned my BP and was told I had an upgrade. Excellent service on those 3 flights in F.

Flying, me and a companion, on the above flight and I see 5 seats left on the seat map in J (I don't have EF or KVS anymore) at T-68. What would, in your opinion, be of us being upgraded prior to being at the airport? There were 7 seats avail earlier this AM that look to be gone. Not sure what the algorithm does on a holiday Sunday nor am I seeing actual inventory which may be lower that the seats showing avail. |

Datapoint: Cleared DFW-DEN on Dec 27 at T100. HOU-DFW is J6, but did not clear yet.
