You may be correct. I just checked my records and 3 of us were upgraded on companion tickets in April 2015 PHL-MIA. I cannot say about the past two years. But three years ago it definitely was a part of the program.

It was a nice perk, DL now allows Elites to upgrade on their companion pass.

For these certificates, are Open-Jaw tickets allowed? I'm looking to fly into one Texas airport and out of another. I don't see anything in the T&C specifying whether or not this is allowed, so I wanted to see on here if anyone else has successfully done this (or been rejected from doing it) before calling in.

I guess I'm looking to see if anyone has had semi-recent experience, at least since the Silver card became active.

2018 blackout dates?

Has anyone received a more recent companion cert that shows the 2018 blackout dates (and any changes to the T’s & C’s)?

That is fine, but if it was a NO before I highly doubt you can do it now, just like you use to be able to upgrade on the Companion pass now you can't. I remember you couldn't co-terminal with it either because I wasn't to arrive at JFK and leave from LGA and that was no permitted.

FYI I was able to upgrade recently on companion ticket with 500-mile upgrades. Still haven’t received 2018 pass.

Upgrade on AA companion ticket 2018

Did you have to separate the Records? I’m planing to fly with my wife (only two people) in one PNR but rep said upgrades did not apply when using certificate as it clearly states. I’d like to keep it together since I’m EXP and she’s only GLD and obviously the priority is higher if she’s with me in same PNR. Never been lucky before with reps linking two reservations for EXP priority in upgrades. They always swear that it depends on each passenger elite status, which obviously is not longer true. Thanks.

Remember that the companion certificate is based on spend through the card member year (account anniversary and payment of annual fee), and not calendar year.

Well, I've been waiting for 77 days following my anniversary date of 11/30 and the BarclayCard web site still says "Pending". A long call to Customer Service yielded 2,500 miles as a customer support gesture that haven't shown up yet in my AA account, but no certificate. I sent a secure message and they responded they were aware of the problem (didn't sound like it was only me) and had submitted a support ticket, but didn't have an estimated date when it would be resolved.

Same here - now 47 days past anniversary date, and no cert.
Also - earned the first tier for 5K EQM and $3K EQD on Jan 6th. Not yet posted. Says 6-8 weeks. I recall these seemed to be quicker last year.

Anyone get their bonuses for 2018 spend yet?
