Yes, that is the correct address. Remember the mailstop number.

I mailed in my cert about 3 weeks ago for a late June ticket. The reservation converted from "pending" to "ticketed" about 10 days ago.

2019 Companion Certificates Extended Again?

Has anyone heard anything about the Companion Certificates earned for cal year 2019 being extended another year to June 2022?

When I look at the Barclaycard website, it shows both my 2019 and 2020 certs expiring on 06/30/22... not sure if this is intentional or a glitch.

I saw this in my account as well. I booked the one earned in 2019 last week (and it got fully ticketed) and will try to use the one earned in 2020 around September.

Same here. Also noticed the cert I earned for this year is electronic. You still call Meeting Services, but you just provide the certificate numbers. No more mailing in and waiting!

I was able to book using my companion certificate today but am not able to pick my own seats. It does say ticket pending and I guess it will until they get the certificate in the mail.
Is that why i can’t pick my own seat??
I’m Gold but would be willing to pay for MCE ahead of the 24 hour mark since it is a longish flight.

I was able to check the box for upgrade list using my 500 certs.
Any idea

You can definitely pick any seat you are eligible for as soon as you book using the companion certificate. It doesn't need to wait until the ticket is fully issued. If the website isn't allowing you to, it's probably just a glitch and you can call in to pick a seat.

Agree with this, I have had a ticket pending now for over a month using the companion certs, but am able to pick and change seats including MCE (looking forward to the Premium Economy 787-8).

Also noticed that all my other certs were extended to 2022 about a month ago, nice.

I’ve been trying to get my reservation ticketed for 2 1/2 months now. Booked with a Companion Voucher. Can’t tell you how many calls I made. No one will help. A few of them were down right rude. They just keep telling me my reservation is fine and if not ticketed within 72 hours of my flight to call. I don’t trust them anymore. I get a different answer every time I call. I already voiced my concern of the reservation being cancelled at the last minute but was told “everything is ok”.

Confused, so has it been 72 hours yet? or 24 hours times 2.5 months?

it’s been pending for 2 1/2 months. The last person I spoke with told me to wait until 72 hours before my departure if it is still pending, then call.

Yes, that is typical for companion tickets. You put the travel date on the envelope and they process it based on that date. The good news is, if the price drops, they will refare it at the lower price. As long as you have a picture of the voucher, you are fine.

This year’s voucher is electronic, so this issue goes away moving forward.

Can you redeem these at the airport like you could with VDB vouchers?

Does anybody know if the rule that the credit card used to earn the certificates must be used to purchase the tickets is actually enforced? I noticed that in the companion certificate T&Cs after I had already cancelled my card...
