Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG No #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

What does a full PDB entail? Basically if they serve alcohol, that makes it a full PDB?

so how do you know if it's actually a "full" PDB? you just ask FAs if it's a full PDB? lol don't FAs usually just ask "can I get you something to drink?" I don't see how one could conclude from that question alone whether it's truly a full PDB.

If they ask you what you want to drink it is Full PDB.

There are various scenarios:
  1. Nothing. No water, no juice, nada. Not a full PDB.
  2. A pre-loaded tray with (normally) water and juice is passed through the cabin and special requests are not accommodated. Not a full PDB.
  3. A pre-loaded tray with water, juice, and sparkling wine is passed through the cabin and special requests are not accommodated. Not a full PDB even though alcohol is on the tray. Normally mid- to long-haul J and F and transcon.
  4. A pre-loaded tray with (normally) water and juice is passed through the cabin and special requests are accommodated. Full PDB (though often a reluctant one since the tray is meant to silence the requests).
  5. Pax are asked individually what they would like to drink and all orders are accommodated (within reason). Full PDB.

AA 1537 RDU-ORD 737-800: Full PDB

My good luck continues, this route often doesn't get it because it's a quick turn around and the flight is usually full.

AA738 ATL-DFW no PDB despite ample time and nobody in aisle - another pAAthetic AA experience

Honestly this is a great reminder why I no longer fly this carrier unless absolutely need to - AA is the joke of the US majors - Spirit and Southwest provide better service and reliability at this point.

AA 1936 SAN-CLT July 2nd. Full PDB service from a wonderful CLT crew. Flight was late in departing by about 15 mins which is better than we were expecting when we headed to the airport. Metal was changed 3 times in the interim, (was initially LUS321 coming in from PHL, and then swapped to a LUS321 from CLT that was not scheduled to arrive into SAN until after our scheduled departure so ended up on a LAA321with IFE and power, so best of both worlds with the metal and crew. The flight was made even better as no inflight credit card pitch.

AA 895 CLT-CUN July 3 Another full PBD service from another good CLT based crew, thought this lot made up for the lack of the credit card pitch for the previous flight. They made an announcement shortly after take off to listen out for an amazing new offer. Got the full spiel about 40 mins out from CUN about the now 60K miles on offer. and then another follow up with about 15 mins to go.

6/28 - DCA-XNA #3494 (Envoy) - wonderful crew as usual on this flight. We were served full PDB and FA offered refills during a ground delay sparked (so to speak) by lightning in the area. (FWIW, pilot also kept us VERY updated on what was going on, which I very much appreciated.)
