American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Quick question for the group

First off since my "frequent flying" will be coming to a retirement end in the next 24 months so do not think as this as me "whining", EXP will do. CK would have been appreciated 8 years ago. My question is this: While there is no published criteria for CK the thought was that it had to be "travel influencers", "VIP", "VERY big spenders" and the like. I personally know two people that have CK that travel a fraction of what I do but because they work for large corporations and those companies get an certain number of CK's for their executives...these two guys benefit from that, it is basically a nice perk from the company. So here comes the question comingled with confusion. I belong to an EXP Facebook page and one of the guys on that forum posted how happy he was because he just got CK for the very first time, seems to be just an average Joe based on profile (yup I snooped), works for himself feels like a consultant. Amongst all the congrats someone asked what his spend was to qualify for this. This is the quote from his reply "over 27k (2021), 29k (2020), all First Class, and all AA metal" My pre covid travel from 2013 thru 2019 was $50,000 - $60,000 per year without fail, 2020 was was basically 0 and 2021 was just over $15K with about 60% of all in first and business class fares and I never even thought about CK (since I fail to fall into the assumed categories). So is my confusion warranted or am I just getting old and grumpy?

Go Stars!!!

You asked the same question last month -- I already responded and posted a quote from the email.

My Globalist status was extended to 2/28/2023... it seems odd that it apparently wasn't a blanket extension for everyone.

Ok just found it in the Hyatt app. It says I’m on my way to globalist through febuary, 2024. I’m pretty sure they extended CK. I’m a nee CK and revived Hyatt so I wouldn’t worry

Just trying to help other CK members out since I already got the extension and I had forgotten where I saw it. Thank you for reposting it.

I just got my CK package today, no notice or upgrades in the account as of last check. Over the weekend - my Globalist status on Hyatt was moved to 2024 too... did send note over the weekend to Hyatt - but hadn't heard back. Might be coincidence.

My package arrived while I was out of town last week… Wednesday shipping, Friday delivery from what I could gather from the shipping label.

I haven’t seen anyone mention this potential connection so far, but did anyone else notice the reference to being an AA Mastercard cardholder?

I find it very curious that credit card membership seems to be somehow linked to CK. Assuming it’s not just a one-time marketing deal, this could have all sorts of potential implications, and it certainly makes me wonder whether AA CC spend would be considered in future years for CK qualification.

I recall in previous years the gift also had a credit card 'sponsor' element from Citi and/or Barclays.

ETA- found this on google from the 2020 chocolates mailing... also similar w/ Barclays logo. Not exactly sure how it worked, but I guess if you had either card, you got the package wrapped w/ that logo.

Someone I follow on Twitter is CK and got a rather nice looking 787-9 model on a stand with their name on it plus some Compartes CK branded chocolates yesterday.

He happened to have posted his year end stats on another post yesterday, $59k EQDs, 323K EQMs and 52 EQS.

Yes, it was possibly a stretch for me to infer that there's any link between holding an AA credit card and CK selection, but the interesting thing is that the packaging for prior years' gifts just seem to have been branded with the credit card logo, whereas this year, the note specifically thanks one for being a cardholder. Perhaps it's just a red herring and ultimately much ado about nothing, though.

Do any CKs here -not- hold an AA credit card? I'm sure there must be some number of CKs, particularly those who don't attain it via spend/AAdvantage nomination, who don't have AA credit cards. If so, did you already receive your CK gift and also get the note about being a cardholder?

Just received the plane and chocolates. FWIW, I never received a shipping notification about it.

Does anyone know if CKs still get priority access to the B Admirals Club in CLT? I thought I read somewhere that we have a private corner to sit in and don't have to be on the waiting list to get in...or was that just a one-off for someone? With Centurion closing so early these days at 8, those later evening connections mean that Admirals Club access is even more important.

Mine still shows 2022 so T-2 weeks :-/

Someone I know checked with a personal contact at AA during the first week in Feb and was told that "CK Globalist status slipped through some cracks" He was told status will be updated in 1-2 weeks and CK members should see their Globalist expiration date extended to Feb. 2023.

Fingers crossed.

Doubt it. I think the poster was looking at the screen on the app that shows progress toward future Globalist status.

It says "You're on your way to Globalist through February 2024" -- I'm seeing that in my app, but I have a 2023 expiration date.
