AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018)

So, I have a CK question. I was informed by my travel department that I would have CK for 2019. They noted I should receive my welcome kit in the upcoming weeks. My status hasn't been updated on AA.com or on the app. However, when I went into the AC in TPA, they mentioned I was CK and gave me two drink coupons. The same thing happened today DCA. Is this common for their system to know I'm CK before I've been officially told about it?

Had a CK exp date of Jan 31 2019 this morning, checked and now says Jan 31 2020, no renewal call today but if past experience holds, I expect a call tomorrow. Check again or tomorrow, seems they are working....

Same here!! Those sly geniuses at AA... posting renewals the same week as taking away the drink chits... I'm so confused on what emotion to have right now

FYI the UA FT board has a '2019 Global Services notifications' thread which just started yesterday, so UA and AA are on the same schedule. You can see over there what it takes to make GS these days:

Does he influence travel spend at his company? Seems like a mistake based on regular qualification requirements unless he has influence or was granted it through his company

So now that the invitations are rolling out, more communications should be coming regarding any program changes (notwithstanding the apparently new 'you'll drink swill in the clubs and like it' rule).

I'm betting on 2 enhancements which I'm optimistic could be part of the 2019 program.
1) A mileage redemption program more similar to UA's GS program, where CK's can pull from a separate inventory bucket
2) More liberal SWU usage, again pulling from a different bucket than the current 'C' class

These changes would put CK much more on par with United GS. I have no actual intel that these will happen, but I do know from some discussions with knowledgeable people at AA that they have been considered, perhaps even 'strongly' considered.
