Notes about Giftcards.com:
- A separate thread exists for discussing Giftcards.com and likely has more data points than this generic thread.
- Purchases from giftcards.com earn miles on the first $2,000 spent in the named calendar month, meaning for example between March 1st and March 31st. [Note: as of Aug 2023, the $2k limit is per order, not per purchase]
- Giftcards.com has had various limits over the years, and it was always by calendar month.
- Some data points show the $2,000 monthly limit is not always enforced. [Note: as of Aug 2023, the $2k limit is per order, not per purchase]
- In 2022, larger orders track more slowly, and you may need to wait a full month to see miles. Strong advice from the thread is to make multiple small purchases (say under $300) rather than large ones to avoid the dreaded "manual review"
Some anti-virus software silently blocks tracking, and you may want to consider disabling it for your purchase.

Has anyone managed to set up a GC on Verizon? It keeps kicking back saying that my card is invalid.

I've been having a hell of a time with GC.com. I have tried 3 different credit cards using both my name and my wife's name and can't get a single card order to go through for a Visa GC. Have never had this issue up until now and only have about $2,500 total spend on gc.com over the last 3 months. Has anyone been able to get around the cancelled orders somehow?

I would suspect that it's gc.com saying no. I have no idea what their criteria are but it's only happened to me once or twice.
Edit: looking at my past emails, if your CC declines it, the email starts with:
Your Giftcards.com order # has been cancelled.
Unfortunately, your payment has been declined by your debit or credit card company.

You might try setting up multiple accounts with gc.com or ordering without signing into an account.
I don't know if I've posted this or not before, but here is my suspicion about what's really going on. (This is based on my experience working in the risk management for insurance team of a major software provider, in which we worked alongside the risk managment for banking team.)
GC.com probably purchases risk management software that flag suspicious transactions. GC.com doesn't know what causes the flags. The software provider might not even know, because it's basically machine-learning driven. When you ask them what the problem is, they will give you nonsense answers like try a different card, try a different browser, clear your cookies, none of which come anywhere close to the real problem.

None of my shopping activity has posted since mid-May. I use Google Chrome and have the eShopping button installed (and also click through the website for good measure). After I place an order, the window pops up saying “you’ve earned x number of miles”… however, I don’t get the corresponding “your order has been tracked” emails.
I sent an inquiry to CS today, but has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas of what’s happening and/or what I’m doing wrong?

I thought it was worth reporting that since I disabled my ad/popup blocker, and have the "button" installed and always click on it, I've had no difficulty getting credit for GC purchases. I've been buying one about every three days, so that means more than $2K a month, and am getting credit for all of them.

From what I remember the cancellation email is slightly different if your CC declines the transaction vs if gc.com cancels it for whatever reason.
I would suspect that it's gc.com saying no. I have no idea what their criteria are but it's only happened to me once or twice.
Edit: looking at my past emails, if your CC declines it, the email starts with:
Your Giftcards.com order # has been cancelled.

Are your orders going through and being cancelled, or being declined before they proceed? Sometimes if orders go through and are then cancelled, you will get LP's for them anyway.

I'm getting this message: "Your Giftcards.com order has been cancelled. Your order was not approved by our security screening process, as a result, your order will not be shipped. No funds will be collected from the credit or debit card used for this order*."
Orders are going through and then being cancelled immediately after. As far as accounts, I tried all of that. Tried being logged in, tried being logged out, tried being logged in to my wife's account and each order was instantly cancelled. Wondering if its tied to my home address?

I would just call them and be completely honest. You are not doing anything that they don't want you to do. They have a phone number listed on their website.

What's the dollar value of gift cards I should buy in a single transaction that will get processed without having to submit a support ticket? 2 cards @ $250 each? 3 cards @ $250 each?

So, pretty clearly, something is triggering their internal fraud detection. Trying to figure out what is going to be tough.
