Possibly, or maybe it's what you lack in endowment.

Might be particularly apropos here
I think that would be the best way to deal with the seat rating.

I flew back yesterday with my GF and we sat in 9 D and E. Even though there was some traffic around the bathroom and the person in 10F did pass by once, I was much much more comfortable. I'll be sitting in row 9 from here on out on AA 757s.

How's the view out of 10A/F vs 18A/F?

I'm 5' 4" and don't need the legroom, but I do appreciate not having to ask my neighbor to get up if I want to use the lav. I'm booked in 10A for a few segments this year, mainly because I figured the view would be better than 18A. Does 10A have a normal window?

The windows in row 10 are normal. The view is just fine. Row 9 has tiny tiny windows.

So instead you're going to make the folks in row 9 get out of the way for you? How is that any better?

Every exit row I've ever been in has been big enough to allow me to get up and into the aisle while the aisle seat stays seated.

I can see it if you were the aisle seat, but you're saying that even if the aisle seat is 6' 8", you can still get out with them seated? When I'm in the exit row, I have to get up to allow someone else to exit.

I must agree. Wife and I "upgraded" from 9DE to 2AB and it was horrible. There was very little leg room at all (seat was wider, but I really missed the leg room). I think I actually prefer row 9 to row 2. Worse part was that the FA's were VERY loud and you couldn't even sleep (it was a 7am flight).

A non-bulkhead F seat was worse than a Y seat? That might be the looniest thing I've ever heard...

Call us crazy, but we also prefer Y row 9 to any of the seats in F. We prefer the legroom to the wide seat. We also like that the armrests are movable in row 9.

It seems that all the comments are mostly about 10A F and Row 9. How about 10C (aisle)? In general, I always choose aisle seat. also I think row 10 will be more reclinable than 9 and did not want to stand there while everyone else is boarding. Another thought is that the window seats may get cold during an overnight flight. Any comments?
Thanks!
