Just pure speculation on my part, but I wouldnt be surprised if YV ends up getting 20 EMB175s in the next round and they all end up based out of PHX/LAX, and these type of routes upgrade to those long-term. The only issue would be the footprint of a EMB175 verse a CR9... gate space is a premium out in LAX and I dont know if that would cause a gate (or 2) to disappear in LAX's Eagle nest.

Presumably LAX-PBI.

So, fortuneteller, are we going to get PDX and SEA?

On the UA board, he said it would be LAX-BDL.

- To support AS's fight against DL over SEA, AA launches international 788/789 flights ex-SEA, with AS providing feeder and connection service.
- QF launches their 787s from SYD. BA is already there from LHR.

SEA becomes the newest oneworld hub.
Which would be the craziest location for an AA/AS TPAC partnership to use as a hub?
  • SEA: AS hub; head to head against new DL hub with a lot of momentum; some OW partners
  • YVR: Foreign city; AC/*A hub; some OW partners; limited pre-existing AA service
  • PDX: AS hub; tiny; No OW partners; limited pre-existing AA service; head to head against DL to NRT

I guess we will wait to see who is correct on this. I hold to my opinion that MCI is likely to get LAX service within a few years on AA with a CR9.

Source? Especially for "OMA and MCI are not gonna happen."

LA to Vancouver is a highly valuable route due to Hollywood ties with British Colombia. They at least need a 738 for this route.

Perhaps they don't want to anger AS or WS.
Highly valuable route? With lots of high fares and paid F/J? The evidence wouldn't exactly support that - AC sending it to rouge, UA's use of RJs, etc.

Just a matter of time for MCI and OMA, IMHO.
Great news ! Now I hope they start SAT-MIA and SAT-JFK soon.

Sadly, I think it is BDL-LAX. Maybe Delta will try that route again or maybe they can convince B6 or WN to start it.

It absolutely is LAXBDL and it's no longer bookable past August 18th.

If AA can't make it work, hard to see anybody else doing it except maybe B6.

Actually I believe BDL-LAX is becoming seasonal. It leaves August 18 but I see it's back May 2015.

I'm flying LAX-BDL tonite; I wonder if the cancellation of the route will matter to the crew?

DL's adding service later this year as well.
