It seems like Avis doesn't want to part with miles. I e-mailed about a month after my rental, and they told me I would get my miles. Three weeks went by and no miles, so I e-mailed again and now they are telling me 90 days. Frustrating.

Yes, unfortunately one of my rentals couldn't earn FF miles because the contract ID did not allow earning bonus miles.

What does it say about miles in your receipt? In my receipt, it doesn't even mention anything about the AA bonus miles. I actually called Avis agent to add my aa number to my reservation before I took the car.

I rented a car on a trip to ATL on 9/15 for one day. Miles posted today, only 500 bonus though. Should I email them? Rental was 9/15-16.

Did anyone get miles for rentals during first 2 weeks of Aug 8/1 - 8/11 ? Everything else posted except 2 rentals during that period. CS confirmed that i will get miles, but the question is when?.

If you have chance, you may double check your reservation email/receipt to find out which coupon # you keyed in.

Without further details, my guess is you keyed in "wrong" coupon #. The correct coupon to get you 3000 miles is MUAA035. While MUAA035 promo page was replaced by MUAA055 (only a dismal 500 miles per rental) sometime in Sept. 10, you may entered the wrong coupon code and only earned 500 miles.
If you have chance, you may double check your reservation email/receipt to find out which coupon # you keyed in.

Oh well, lesson learned for next time: always double-check your promo code.

I did have the miles post on my SDF, MSP rental receipts but not on my STL rental. Was charged a surcharge on all of them. I have had the miles post at both the car checkin agent and the rental car service desk agent. I have added miles after completing the rental too and speaking with the rental car agent about adding my FF number.

Just FYI as a data point who used USAA code in the rental: after one call and one online request last week, my miles just got posted and backdated to the original date when I rented the car.

so in total I got 3050 miles for $30. not bad.
