Membership desk is the most accurate snapshot as they will give you a year to date summary of your rebate...

Seen several stacks of these in the SFO area recently... but haven't been compelled to purchase AAny tickets yet.

I really wonder why these cards aren't a nationwide option at Costco? I've been waiting since the beginning of this thread highlighting them for them to show up in Austin.

Perhaps AA is purposely restricting the sale near its own fortress hubs (such as DFW or MIA, and maybe nearby areas), in order to avoid giving discounts to its own hub captives.

I tried this just yesterday, and it did not work. I had a good image of the barcode, and she was not able to get it to read. I had the card with me as well, so was doing this as an experiment. Of course, the number would be enough, but the scan didn't work- at least in my case.

Cheers.

Still available at the Costco in Rego Park, New York. Anyone in the area that is interested.

Anyone know if there is a restriction on how many you can buy?

Sorry to hear that BRP. Although I have not tried it myself at Costco (shot the image at last purchase), I have been able to scan the image and get the same bar code number. Having the card is a good backup plan, but I would think the clerk could key in the Costco number also shown in the image. I wonder if a printed image would do better?

I find the warehouses don't always make it easy to find the cards and even their clerks have complained about having trouble directing us to the cards we want. I guess for those that are buying the GCs repeatedly, keeping a card would be a fair request. It's too bad they don't have the bar code on the card folder as well.

I was trying to say the same thing above- all they need is the number. While she couldn't scan the image, she said that I could just give her the SKU number and did not need the card.

Cheers.

Just picked up a couple in Niles, IL. Nice deal.

I'm thinking I spent about $2000 on mileage runs to get back to ExecPlat. 10% cheaper re-qualification this year!

Just remember that you can only use 8 per reservation (not per passenger on a reservation).

Picked up 8 yesterday at the Chicago Lincoln Park store. When I told the cashier I wanted 8 she had this look like 'are you crazy?' and I wanted to say 'yes, I am crazy - I have to maintain my frequent flier status!'.
