The chicken breast was dry, as expected, but still tasty. The saffron rice and lemon meringue were very good. Still better than what most other airlines are serving these days. No cookies were offered on the flight.

I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

AS382 SEA-PHX
1`:55am dep

I pre-ordered the Moroccan Chicken. As a poster said above, it is nothing to look at but is very tasty. It was nice to see hot meals make a comeback in F. Unlike the meals pictured above, there was no roll on the tray (shorter flight doesn't get the roll?). It was just enough for a SEA-PHX flight. The brownie for dessert was good. The FA was attentive and provided very good service.

And what really stood out? On the way to SEA, I flew Delta F. The "dinner" was a cold sandwich, chips, and a stale chocolate chip cookie in a box (albeit a nicer box). AS is heads and tails above the competition right now on this route.

it’s a seasoning called “Everything but the Bagel” that’s used to season the strata. So no bagel - it’s the name of the seasoning.

MCO/ SEA
Dec 1 10:00am
Choice of Fruit and cheese, Harvest grain bowl or Miso marinated pork chop.
Selected pork chop .
Ramekin of nuts served with drink order.
Meals served at relaxed pace.
Pork chop totally dry. Quinoa was slimy, as if extra water was added. Warm roll with butter and usual salad.
dessert was strange. Very small amount of yellow ( mango?) pulp in very thick crust. Gelatinous pink crumbles on side. Should have taken pic, forgot.
Distracted as we had family with 5 children around us.
One was lap child. Child napped on floor . I was very surprised FA allowed child to stay asleep on floor during landing.

Route: PDX-SNA
Flight Number: 2500
Departure time: 18:15
Menu: No
Meal description (if given):

Options:
1) Fruit and cheese plate
2) Autumn Squash Ancient Grain Bowl
3) Pho Plate

i selected the pho plate with the description: Sous vide ginger and garlic marinated beef sirloin, Arcadian lettuce mix, Thai marinated vermicelli noodles, fresh tomato and red onion, with a chili lime sambal dressing and Thai basil

Overall not bad. The noodles were like a hybrid of vermicelli noodles and bean sprouts and were not my favorite. The chili lime sambal dressing was actually very good.
cookie and snack basket included with this flight

Pho Plate

Chose the Fall Hash Bowl.

Really surprised by this offering. Absolutely delicious. Bread was warm. Egg was runny. Fruit was fresh. Would get again.

I wonder if the eggs are irradiated or pasteurized in shell given their temperature as held and then served.

A year ago, I'd never heard of shakshouka. Saw something about it in a youtube travel report. Then saw it on the menu at a nearby DC bakery and cafe (Tatte Bakery).
Totally blew me away. Incredibly tasty and hearty and wonderful. An Israeli dish with the Cajun Trinity of tomatoes, peppers, and garlic!

Sort of like the first time I had really good fresh poutine with pulled pork.

Wondering where this wonderful stuff has been all my life.

It is actually a north-African dish, but nonetheless wonderful, albeit can be acidic.

Just following up… this meal was delicious! I didn’t get the runny yolk, but that is the only thing I could have complained about. Fruit was fresh, roll was heated and not dried out, and the actual hash bowl was delicious.

10/10 would order again.
