Earlier this year I would have agreed but I’ve tried simple lax-Tyo or Tyo-Sfo bookings where it shows multiple seats and as I book the first seat from my account the inventory disappears when trying to book second from another account. Even if it had been loaded up already on the second account it errors out. Doesn’t happen all the time but enough that Im pretty sure it’s AS system “bug”. These aren’t super in demand flights as they’ve been open for a while too so I doubt someone else just happened to book the minute after I did randomly. Then if I wait a few days to a week it pops back up and I can book on AS, or just book using other airline miles.
But yes also agree that married segment is a big issue as well.

My AS FF# was not attached to the my JL award booking automatically. All the window seats are currently blocked for me as OWE.
And the JAL website only allows me to add JL FF#.

Not all have been at end of schedule. Availability only zeros on AS site. When that happened I just booked on AA or waited and until it comes back on AS. Doesn’t happen all the time either as I’ve been able to book other trips such as LAX-TYO-BKK same way without it happening. Not sure if it’s due to number of seats left or what. Hopefully just resolves on its own soon.

it would zero out simultaneously on AA/AS/BA. Very strange it would just drop from 7 to 0

The availability on Alaska's site for JAL flights seems extra messed up in January -- I saw lots of LAS-SFO-HND-CTS 70k under 'partner business' with no main and no first class, but the flight actually being in first on the SFO-HND flight 1, but errors when you actually book it.

Just figure I should add my observations - seeing a lot of HND-US gateway-Other US cities availability in F, but the HND-Gateway seat when searched alone cannot be found. It also doesn't go through when you try ticket it.

How many free bags am I entitled? I am OWE on mixed class ticket. First leg SGN-HND on economy and first class on HND-LAX-SEA remaining legs?

Never mind. The answer is 4. Just did it. But more pressing is my JAL flight has 6 business class seats open but agent refuses to upgrade my ticket which is on 1st class award ticket for the only non 1st class leg. States that it is AS responsibility. AS says it's JAL who can do so. Any advice? I have 2.5 hours until departure. Thanks for any info.

Yes, if the 6 seats are revenue then that doesn't mean available for award. It would be strange to see 6 award seats open (especially now with almost no award seats being released )

JAL phantom space and other randomness (F fares on planes without F). Deval is on the horizon

For JAL, at least I hope that is the way it plays out. The CX award chart has been ripe for devaluation for years so I would not be surprised to see that go.
