Don't fly as often as the majority of FTers, and, having just switched over from the horrible AA program, just managed to squeak by after booking a year end mileage run from SAN-SEA-SAN to barely qualify for MVP. Not as impressive as some of you, but I'm excited to join the ranks!

2019 qualification will already be a breeze with some paid BA F fares booked out of ARN.

Taking my MVP Gold qualifying flight right now. This has been my first year as an MVP and I've been very impressed with my upgrade success rate. I'd say this year it's been about 50/50 on getting upgraded to first. Looking forward to the added MVPG benefits.

Made it to MVP again in October.

I'm United Platinum and will go for a status match at the end of 2018.

Congratulations! I have neen a Mileage Plan member for 10 years; the first 8 without staus. Last year I finally reached MVP and did a 16 hour, fly everywhere go nowhere, run up and down the west coast; YLW-SEA-LAX-PDX-SFO-SEA-YLW in October for $277.00 base fare to reach MVPG. This year I requalified for MVPG in May and did a 15.5K mini holiday/mileage run; YLW-SEA-ANC-LAX-SJO-LAX-SEA-SFO-PVR-LAX-SEA-YLW in October to get MVPG75K for the first time. I don't fly for business so what I do is Flying For Fun.

Wow! That's insane! Kind of... I guess. I flew 4 segments for a total of 2000 miles on Virgin/Alaska mix for MVP thanks to a employee offer. Most of my time is still on United with 235,000 PQM as a leisure flyer but starting to diversify FF programs.

Got my G75K status as expected just after the Nov7 flight...kicked in in time to reap the benefit on my BOS-SEA return flight on 11/14...didn't get an upgrade to first (but who does on that segment), but did get the free digiplayer, etc.

Why would AS offer a status match to an existing elite, since you already have 2018 status?

Just made MVP last month thanks to JetBlue Mosaic status match.

Plan to fly Alaska heavily in 2018. Should make Gold easily; 75k probable.

Congrats! Do you normally reach 75k with over 1.5 months to spare?

Just hit MVPG on my flight from MEX>LAX yesterday, for my third year in a row. Have a bunch of travel between now and end of 2017, but still won't make it to 75K, even with the targeted buy-up offer.
