Requalified 75K earlier this month, and also made DL Silver Medallion two weeks ago. Have been a Gold or 75K in the last 12 years, but I will try to qualify for DL GM next year. The loss of DL and AA partnerships is bad for me, as I fly into secondary Cities in the Midwest and Southeast as well as Asia.
With AS struggling to understand their place in the market, I have to hedge my flying by spending more time on DL metals. Hopefully I will requalify for 75K next year.

Requalified for MVP on an AA DFW - DAY flight over the weekend. I was actually worried that the miles wouldn't post before 2018, so a rare 2017 kudos to AS for not taking forever to post the AA flights to my MP account.
Sadly, with the AA/AS changes, 2018 will most likely be my last year as an AS elite member.

First year on AS. Qualified for MVP on a VX cross country flight, which I wasn't supposed to (?? see below). I had (will have) three cross country round trips with AS/VX + 1 trip to/from Hawaii - pretty straight forward.
Technically, I don't have 20K miles flown (yet), but AS had awarded me bonus miles on my recent VX flight to put me over - thanks!. Still have one VX (return) flight before the end of year, so either way, I should accumulate 20K of actual flying for the year.

Xmas flight posted today which left me with just enough miles to qualify for MVP (20,440). Have a couple discounted BA F flights booked, so hoping to step up and reach Gold next year. F upgrades will be nice for our annual Hawaii trips (on AS, as always).

Currently 40 miles short of requalifyung for MVP Gold 75K. Fortunately, flying in F tomorrow with my wife from SAN to KOA. We will both make MVP Gold 75K status, likely for the last time as we retired this year. Thank you Alaska Airlines for all the great years!

Now that you're retired, you can really put a dent in those EQM

I made Gold on my AS860 HNL-SEA flight on 12/27. Final 2017 tally for me should be:
52,387 EQM, 19,426 on AS, 34 segments
A bunch of AA, EK, and QF flights bolstered the partner EQM earning this year. With the AA arrangement severely reduced (most of business travel was on AA at 75-100% earning this year), I'm not sure I'll make MVPG again next year, but MVP is definitely achievable.

My SEA GEG SEA flights have not posted yet, suspect they will after the 1st, but won't count as miles in the new year. So, I ended up with 116,157 AS
122,043 AS/Partner
115 segments
855,814 miles towards MM, with 144,186 miles to go.
The 5,886 partner miles were domestic AA flights to/from smaller regional airports across the USA. Sad that most of those will not count next year. All but the MM bars will reset tomorrow, which always gives me a slight shock not to see the gold bars.

Looks like my miles posted last night - short flight from LAS>SEA to reach MVP Gold. This was my first year flying Alaska (before I was DL Gold four years). I travel exclusively for leisure as work doesn't fly me anywhere . Overall I have been happy with Alaska as they have nonstop flights to most of the places I travel frequently. Outside chance for repeating MVPG in 2018 but this year I was heavily propped up by two flights to Europe (both SEA>FRA on Condor). My agenda for domestic travel is more ambitious this year with two trips planned to the east coast so far, so there's a chance.
Final 2017 stats:
Alaska miles flown: 28,534
Partner miles: 21,713
Total: 50,247

Yay! Both the spouse and I qualified as 75K for the first time. He had to make an extra trip to see the in-laws to gather those last few miles, but they don't know the real reason behind the visit so it's a win-win situation! Gave MVP to two of the kids so now the whole family has status! Have been flying Horizon ("Crashcade") and AS since 1982.

Ringing in the new year as MVP - flights from 12/28 just posted today. As I am based in SFO, I got there with a 50:50 mix of AS and VX. Happy new year to all!
Now if we could just get a SFO-ANC direct going...
