You can find the scheduled tail number of your flight here:

(replace as123 with as[your flight num])
However aircraft swaps are frequent, even up to the last hour.

I know that the end of the year has been posted by those allegedly in the know, but that seems very optimistic, and it's getting even more so with every passing day.

They are approaching a rate of 1/day, there are about 53 aircraft left and there are about 79 days left. Seems doable...
if there is a bonus involved, even more so

Hey everyone, this is reference to my recent post on the older thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/alask...l#post27355161

One person discovered something interesting about the blocking of seats on the e jets in january. I then checked it out and found out the same thing. Ive reposted it below. Im really anxious to see what AS will do with new complimentary upgrade charts for Y+ and First or two completely different schemes.

I just booked PDX-BUR for 1/7, and the seat map for shows rows 6-8 as refundable/elite seats, not Preferred Plus--but empty. When I got to seat selection in the booking process, though, those three rows were entirely unavailable. The disappearance of Preferred Plus seems to start on 1/4 on that route, as well as on 1/5 for OO-operated PDX-BOI and PDX-AUS--and my PDX-AUS round trip later in January is showing 6-8 as full too.

Given this info, I think it's very safe to infer that Premium will be for MVP upgrades at check-in. How does it appear for you Golds and 75Ks?
I just did a check as well and I saw the same thing for the 1/7 PDX-BUR. The first picture is the seat map and the second picture is when its time to select a seat. Im a 75K and those seats are blocked just as they are for you.

I wonder what this is going to mean. Maybe Golds and 75ks won't be able to get these seats at booking and it'll be a whole new upgrade window scheme like it probably will be for First class.
UPDATE: Just called AS and they said that they've blocked those rows until the official soft product rolls out and the majority of aircraft systemwide have been reconfigured. Agent said its just too premature to announce anything but said they do have internal memos they can't disclose to the public. When I said only the old/current Preferred plus policy is on the website, the agent then said there is a "link" but then stepped back and said "sorry its internal."

With all this said, the agent said that until further notice, once a booking is made, they are still able to assign those blocked seats to elites of any level including partner elites. They are just blocked by the computer for bookings. And she said once policies are in place, then those seats will become unlocked and could be available for purchase or free etc. Agent just wouldn't say exactly how theyll be able to be selected and by who etc.

Agent also assured that if a seat is secured complimentarily etc prior to the official program rolls out, then the seat is protected and not taken away UNLESS changes are made to reservation causing the deselection of that respective seat.

Currently flying in one for the next 6 hours (AS25). I'm 6'3" and kind of stressed about what do to with all this extra legroom.

Love the comments on the images ('same as AA's C+'). Got to remember to pick up a longer USB cable so it'll reach.

From the pics, it doesn't look much different than regular economy....maybe bulkhead is more noticeable....I hope.

The dude who took those pics is 6'3. I'd say that's a huge difference! I'm 6'2 and my kneecaps were about an inch from the seatback before.

Yes, I am tall, and the difference is noticalble. It feels like almost like an exit row, and given the choice between PC and row 15 I would choose PC

Wouldn't you have had even more room in the upgraded bulkhead seats?

Probably, but I am but a lowly MVP and I would rather have a window than an asile or middle.

Inasmuch as row 15 is directly in front of the first exit seat row and has limited recline, so would I.

Flew on a newly configured 737-800 last week, and was able to snap a couple of additional photos of the new first class seat pitch. The additional space is a significant improvement, but I am still very disappointed that we are losing 4 first class seats on the 800's. I see first class upgrades being even more limited for us 75K's, and I certainly hope that Premium Economy doesn't become Alaska's new "upgrade class." If that happens, the benefits of the program will be highly devalued in my opinion. Alaska appears to be becoming just like the big 3 airlines, and that is sad.

Just flew on the new configuration pdx-lax and back.. same plane. Nice surprise for a mileage run. And i got upgraded to the front, always a plus. The premium economy legroom looks almost identical to the exit row leg room. Seat head rests are a different color but I don't know if they are functionally different.

Cool to see this config. on a short flight.
