I've always quite liked the afternoon tea service to SIN/HKG/PER etc. The salmon sandwiches are my favourite!

ICN- AKL last week:
My vegetarian special meal was well presented, tasty and wasn’t the usual chickpea curry for dinner.
They even served me a vegetarian option for the amuse-bouche which was the Artichoke with babaganoush pic below. The FA told me that they have recently made changes to the vegetarian meal options and hence I got a veg amuse bouche instead of the seafood taster which was nice. The FA also showed me the list she had from catering which had a list of all the meals I was going to be getting on the flight and checked if it was all ok for my dietary needs.
Also for breakfast they had a flat white option on the flight (only available on select 787) which I haven’t seen before.

Amazing news. Let's hope it becomes standard. Especially the flat whites, lol. For a country as espresso obsessed as us, the lack of espresso coffee on the menu has been noticeable.

Air NZ started rolling out new espresso machines last year. I thought all the 787's had them now.

Indeed. But I did notice crew needing to explain to many J pax how it worked with the options.
The placement of the choices at the very bottom of menu, with a large area of blank space between, is a poor design from this user’s perspective.
A pic to show why some pax struggled to ‘join the grey rectangles’

I'm not sure if the menus have been updated yet but it appears that they have taken this feedback on board. I've received an advanced copy of the menu for an upcoming flight in May and the 'customise' section now appears directly by the particular dish rather than at the bottom of the page.

Love looking at old ads.
It is so wrong, cheesy and inappropriate for todays woke pc culture.
Feel free to find more!
