NZ123 AKL to MEL 16 Feb - PE to J - bid $200 USD, accepted 10 Feb.

Flight went out with at least 4 empty J seats. Might have bid a bit too high since it cleared so early and there ended up being empty J seats. Nevertheless, my first time on NZ and wanted to try out the odd J config.

Lax akl 3/26

We have 2 premium economy LAX AKL on NX1 3/26. No status; have paid for preferred seats. Bid $725/ea for upgrades to business; have gotten the "declined at this time, check back at 7-8 hrs before flight". Currently looks like 11 seats open in business. Any chance the bid might actually look good?

Class of ticket has no bearing on OneUps. Is APD value and Status multipler for OneUps

NZ104 on 777-200 metal SYD-AKL
Y->PE
Star Gold (Air China)
AU$ 100, cleared & accepted 4 days ahead

Noticed new booking in A fare class. Any chance the mileage accrual follows the new fare class if depositing into partner FFP or just in my dreams?

NZ289 AKL-PVG
Y->PE
Star Gold (Air China)
CN¥ 1,830 (approx. NZD 406), cleared & accepted 8 hours ahead of departure.

Not bad for 12 hrs flight I would say. Enjoyed NZ's PE product.

Agree, depending on how much you paid for your Y seat.

I have usually considered a paid Exit Row to a decent ‘enhancer’ long haul for the cost. Perhaps Exit Row has the best value ‘comfort/$’ as I value increased personal space over food/drink and I don’t absolutely require lie flat bed s I can manage adequate rest (but Ill take a flat seat, of course, in the right circumstances - opup, gifted RU, burn miles).

If I am paying for the flight then the additional thousands for a lie flat seat are better spent in other areas (eg hotel). Others, of course, will have a different ‘value’ calculus.

Is the status multiplier only for AirPoints status, or does United 1K (Star Gold) have any bearing as well? I'm considering Premium Economy as the Business Premier tickets are outrageous. I'd be willing to bid up however, for Biz.

NZ109 AKL-SYD (777-200)
Y to PE
$NZ135 (no uplift as Airports Jade. Do hold *G with THAI)
Accepted 5 days in advance. Bid too high? EF showing avail in PE of U7/E0/O0/A0.

Original booking class was a sale 'Seat' only return AKL-SYD-AKL for $NZ333 return. The outbound has now been re-booked into 'A'. OneUp bid submitted as I have never sampled NZ's PE product.
