Well this time it worked out fine. Here's the answer in French confirming that FP rouge years are duly taken into account and that the website is bugged ! ^

Hope it could help for next year promotion (FTers with only one FP rouge qualifying year).

This implies, brunos and Goldorak, that, as I stated above, FP Rouge years do always count, even if someone got Gold in June 2005, but qualified for Plat later in 2005.

Congratulations!
So, as for me, your website account should be corrected next. ^
New mention will be "Platinum for life since 31 december 2005"...
I don't know why this date (should be since 31 december 2013) but much much better than "Congratulations, two more years..."
Bienvenue au club

With this written confirmation of FB desk , the rule is clear:

FP Rouge (or FD Platinum) in 2003-2004 and Platinum in 2005 (even on december 31th)= LTPE in 2013 with a card in april 2014.
FP Rouge (or FD Platinum) in 2004 and Platinum in 2005 (even on december 31th)= LTPE in 2014 with a card in april 2015.

I doubt being Flying Dutchman Gold for those years will get you there (as that was not the highest tier in the programme at that time). I think you would have to be Flying Dutchman Platinum Elite in the previous years.

Yes, you are right, it is FD Platinum.
I have edited my post, thanks.

"After ten consecutive years as a Platinum member, cardholders become lifetime Platinum members. Their years at the status of Fréquence Plus Red or Flying Dutchman Platinum Elite will be accounted for. They will enjoy the full range of benefits to which they are entitled."

Deelnemersniveau Platinum Sinds 08-09-2004
Gefeliciteerd! Vanaf 1 april 2014 bent u Platinum for Life-deelnemer.

I was expecting to have to complete qualifying for Plat this year. Apparently not.

Any known gotchas/glitches? I've taken a print of the page and framed it!

You have qualified plat since 08-09-2004. Therefore, 2004 counts as the first year. Rule of thumb is, you need to re-qualify:

Year in which you reach plat for the first time + 9 consecutive years

Thereafter, all you'l have to do is wait untill the requialification date arrives without the need of requalifying.

So, yes, looks like another glitch! I also think you do need to requalify again in 2013?!

The website says:

Your Platinum membership is yours for life after 10 consecutive years of Platinum membership. With Platinum for Life, you can rely on travel privileges for the rest of your days, and enjoy full Platinum benefits without ever needing to re-qualify again
2004 is year 1, thus 2013 is year 10. I have qualified for 2013 (last year) and have to wait out this year to get my card next year.

I will be ~30K short this year, so if not, I need to start planning a big trip in december.

Oops yes I think you're actually right! You have already made 10 plat qualifications, right? In any case, I'd call them to get this confirmed.

Back to junior school for me! :$

Yes, regarding to last "polemique" about the rules, we (Mogoy and me) have been confirmed by FB desk that we will be LTPE this year with a new card next april. But we were FP red (as FD Plat) in 2003. So, you probably need to requalify this year to receive your new card in april 2015.
Caution when calling FB desk, ask for a supervisor because employee are not always clear about this status. I had in the beginning two opposite answers.

I would say so as well. My understanding is that you have to qualify 10 times in a row. So having reached plat in the course of 2004, 2004 is your first qualification year. Therefore you must get plat during 2013. You will be considered for life on the anniversary of your first qualification that is 08-09-2014 and you will receive your definitive card by April 2015.

Yup, it seems so.
Anyways, as delanotre said, call FB just to be sure. Would be a pity to fail on the very last year .

AFAIK There is no way around qualifying 10 times, so if you first qualified in 2004, you need to qualify again in 2013.
