I am at 2F now. 2F1 jetty is really filled. As 50% of seats are not usable to respect social distancing, all seats are occupied. Plenty of people are standing.
Flights look super full.
The lounge is indeed closed. Here is a picture of the sign on the door. Obviously I am not the only one to be upset (I promise, it’s not me who wrote on it ! Translation for the non-French speaking posters : Shame - thank you for those who fly in the evening »

And at the same time, unions are making pressure to keep limited interactions with PAX, hence this limited service as well .

I know this true for KL, but I am not so sure for AF.

What is preventing AF to deploy more staff? When they send them into "partial joblessness" 80% of their salary is paid by us, the taxpayers. Saves them a lot of money.

I also observe how many companies struggle to get their employees back to work, too many are too comfortable in their "confinement holiday", preferring to work remotely.

Lounges will close later from next week.

Next week as from today (6 July) or from 13th July? I am flying the 10th myself and might want to change to AF metal longhaul instead , to avoid a layover with no lounge.

understood it as from today (6 july), but TBC...

Currently still no lounge in BOD, MUC and ARN as operations are consolidated in one terminal, not the one used by AF in normal times. For MUC, note that they like to complicate your life with check-in in the terminal used normally by AF, but departure is from the other terminal (the one used by LH).

The AF senior VP of Ground Operations at CDG just posted a picture of the future lounge in terminal 2F. He announces it is due to open in spring 2021.

Does anyone know if the airport lounge at NCE airport is open ? AF operates actually 13-14 flights a day.

According to airport site it should have reopened on July 1st (Infinity lounge):

Two quick questions:

1.) Am I correct in assuming I won't have lounge access as a ST E+ in FRA when flying out on either AF or KL in eco? As T2 is currently closed, so is the AF-KL Lounge.

2.) When flying out of MRS on AF in eco, do I get lounge access as a ST E+? Or will I have to use PP, as the lounge isn't operated by a ST carrier?

1) correct
2) you should have access to the contract lounge used by AF, but I don't know if it is open.

I think they will extend the operating hours of the 2F lounges. Until last week, the last flight was around 18:00, hence the closing of the lounges at 18:00. But, from today, the number of flights is increasing and some are late (eg. BOD, TLS, MRS around 21:30). I will ask the Ultimate TA team.

Lounges will close later from next week. Too bad for the pax flying this week...
They could have compensated that by proposing a 10 or 15 EUR voucher to use in a café of the terminal (don't even know what's open), but that's probably too much to ask.

Update : 2F1 lounge is still open from 5:30 to 18:00. 2F2 lounge is now open from 5:30 to 22:00.

And the great contract lounge in BCN will reopen on July 15.

And 2F lounge isn't the bad actually. Almost normal buffet but you are served by staff. Drinks selection as before. Joseph Perrier walked around at noon and hasn't come back since yet. First floor crowded but hey smart people go downstairs :)

Crowded is the word indeed!

With 30% of seats supposedly unavailable, we already see travelers ignoring the signs and using them anyway. Can’t imagine what it’s gonna be when traffic ramps up again.

skycruiserNL Jul 11, 2020 2:05 am

This morning; Lounge 2F3x crowded upstairs, no available seat. Downstairs closed.

Downstairs closed in Salon 2F3x on 10th July 09.30am

Decided to go lounge 2F4x, less crowded. Downstairs open but no food supply except some nibbles.

Rather limited food options in lounge 2F4x

Also I was warned that my mask was not according the rules and would be denied boarding. The lady mentioned that the ‘disposable mask’ was a rule because then they know that people use new ‘fresh’ masks. They don’t know if fashionable masks are clean.
I asked what would happen if I wear a disposable mask for 24 hours, it’s the same ‘problem’ but then there would not be an issue.
The lady had no clue and walked away without giving a reply 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️
