I am booked on the AF11 in the beginning of April. When I booked it was a 777 with the new business (1-2-1) but today when I checked the itinerary I had been assigned a new seat and the config is now 2-3-2. Doh.

Updated presentation (in French)

https://www.agentconnect.biz/FR/fr/l...f/BEST_AGV.pdf

Loosely translated, the config for aircraft equipped with the new J or P cabins is: P4 J58 W28 Y206 or J40 W24 Y216; it may be updated in fall 2015.

This document was already posted by delanotre in post 162.

AF logic really escapes me.
They sprinkle the few BEST planes to many destinations to maximize advertising impact rather than trying to insure that a destination or at least a flight number consistently gets BEST. That creates the problems encountered to JFK, a major market. While AF can boast its new seats to many destinations, many pax are bound for serious disappointment.
And to make sure the pax stay confused they refuse to give a name to each configuration (for example CX uses different 77A, B, C...) to refer to different configs.

Sure. Anything not listed is just likely to be old cabin - NEV2, 3, or 4.

World Business Class Seats (the new ones) on Air France

Hello Everyone!

Do you guys happen to know when the new Biz Class seats (World Business Class) will be rolled out on all the Air France 777-200's, or all planes in general?

I am flying from LAX to PPT Biz Class in September and it looks like I am still in the old configuration of 2-3-2 vs 1-2-1, and the seats aren't totally lay flat. Seems like the newer seats are totally lay flat.

Any info would be great!

Thanks,
John

With over 100 flights on AF and the former UTA I'd say that even if AF is providing me with 5 star food, a live band and a cute little companion for the night, I wouldn't get on one of the planes.

The fact that they are just now trying to get halfway decent seats is telling in and of itself. But first, they need to get halfway decent FAs.

Off the top of my head, expected completion was end of 2017 (someone will say if I remember wrong!) for the 777 fleet although this will undoubtedly be delayed...

With several hundreds of flights on AF, I really have no clue what you are talking about, FAs being one of the few things I can praise with the airline, typically finding them good to excellent with the usual exceptions.

Guys, I must say that I mostly agree with you, with the exception of English language skills that need to be really improved so FAs can be as engaging with English-speaking as they are with us, French-speaking folks.
I know I have been saying that for years on FT, but I hope that someone from AF would read that and actually do something to deeply improve the situation.

My partner speaks English and has never had problems with crew. She was expecting the worst but has always said to be very pleasantly surprised. She dislikes AF for many reasons but FAs is not one of them
