The "flexible meal option" was added sometime last year IIRC, but otherwise this is the exact same catering standard that has existed for the last 4-5 years.

Had the new Ceasar salad yesterday and must say I was reasonably impressed: nice mix of greens, real bacon and two nice croutons.

Certainly a nice change after years of the same green salad.^

That former salad was pathetic.

How dare I complain! How dare I!

Outstanding new ceasar salad, a welcome change after last month's sad and disappointing waldorf salad:

I had that exact same chicken dish last week on rouge LAS-YYC which was disappointing, but I really enjoyed it this time, likely due to the steam ovens on the 77W. Simple dish but the chicken was moist and flavourful:

It's possible my current SD could top what I imagine @ACYYZ/SD to be (one day we will fly together!)

The water service had six glasses when it arrived to me.

3 without ice, 3 with ice.

Water was poured in after I selected a glass.

There were also lemon slices on the stir sticks, in case I wanted one.

I would wager that having a Spiced Dark Rum & Coke Zero in a frosted glass with crushed ice & a twist waiting at your seat would restore my reputation. That old cheap water trick???

Nice. I've never seen that.

The little touches.

I typically decline lemon, but accept lime.

If you have a flight that allows me to depart SFO after 1700 on a Friday and return on Sunday (any time), I'll book it. Not Memorial Day weekend or Canada Day weekend though.

And who said FT couldn't make AC money

For the record, I offered to buy a Captain Morgan, and they don't have any!!!

P.S. Your reputation is "this SD might be better than ACYYZ/SD". I don't think you should be worried

Edit: I'm tempted to show this thread to the SD. SD STANDOFF!

If you ever bring me double G&T with the rest of the Tonic can and another Gin on the side, I will hand write and courrier a letter to the AC exec of your choice.

"Can I have two rums and a Coke Zero please?" usually gets me what you describe.

Though one time I was given a glass of ice with two rums in it, and no space for Coke Zero, and I had to modify the request. I also had to ask for a second glass.

Yeah, quite often I actually get a glass with ice, lemon, and G&T, a G&T on the side, and the can of tonic unopened on the side. I personally really like it when they do that. Leaves room for me to poor exactly how I like it.

But I would be impressed if I'd get my order without asking (aka, waiting at my seat without me asking lol)!

Only once I was ever really disappointed in drink service. Wheels up. First round of order. "Could I have a double GT please?" "No , we're going to start with a single, and take it from there."

Never heard that in my life. Stepped on plane and I hadn't even drank anything at the lounge. Was a weird experience.

Hmmmm, starting to think we need a special thread, separate from meal service threads. Not joking. It would interesting to have all the drinking while flying - including "Adventures in PDB" - all in one central thread.
