Good point - why should beavers get all the starring roles?

A jail cell must be horrendous: no snacks, no recline, no entertainment, no bar. Could you imagine spending any time in such conditions? SuperMax, 737Max, now I get it...

Talk about a slap on the wrist. This is absurd.

I do tend to agree with you. However, it doesn't exclude the opportunity for civil action.

AC844 YYC-FRA diverted to Goose Bay.

Apparently an irate passenger to be removed by police as well as the mechanical issue.

789 in YYR; diverted from YYC-FRA

This is an unusual sight in Goose Bay.

May 28, YYC-FRA had an engine oil pressure issue near Greenland and diverted to Goose Bay.

They're flying in a replacement 789 to deal with the 250 pax.

They flew 7 people in from YYT with us to deal with the plane. Mechanics, loaders/unloaders (there's a risk of damaging the aircraft if you don't know what you're doing), etc.

Given how late YYR staff had to stay around, it wouldn't surprise me if some if the 7 we're checkin staff too.

I wonder if you can book this...

And here we are sitting on a Q400 that is out of many of the BVRGs we want.

I was supposed to fly that beauty back today from FRA, and got the notification from concierge as I was boarding in Italy that I was rebooked. I had an exciting time trying to figure out plan B but all good now, glad that it landed safely and all are safe. I'm sure there are many who haven't toured Goose Bay so good chance for them to check out new terrain. How long would that diversion be in the air after noticing the problem?

What is the aircraft type between the amphib Caravan and AC's 787? I see very high turbo props, so presumably on floats.

It's not on floats, it has a hull with retractable gear. Most CL-215/415s are yellow, some are white; this is the notorious Peas 'n Carrots scheme unique to NL: https://www.google.com/search?client....0.hwJonhjEmU8
