'Incident' involving small regional plane reported at Edmonton International Airport
Breaking news on CBC website. Looks from the pic as if the airplane went off the runway. Hopefully nobody was injured.

There has been an “incident” involving a small regional plane at Edmonton International Airport Thursday night.
Airport spokeswoman Heather Hamilton confirmed that the incident involved a Q-400 aircraft.
Hamilton has no reports of injuries and she doesn’t know how many passengers are involved. The airline involved has not been released.
However, pictures on Twitter suggest an Air Canada Express plane was involved. The Q-400 aircraft can carrying up to 78 people...

Dash 8 400. SK had similar incidents and eventually moved to an all CRJ/CRA fleet at the small end.

Is this a common issue? Yikes, I have a YYZ to Quebec city and back in one of these shortly. Never had a passion for these turbo props...

Update on the YEG incident from the CBC link:
The pictures show the plane on its side, looks like the tire collapsed and the plane tipped on its side. Luckily only 3 injuries. According to the 11pm local newscast YEG is down to 1 runway until further notice (presumably until they can move the aircraft)
While the plane was in the air, the pilot realized that a tire had blown. Strong crosswinds in Calgary meant the plane had to be diverted. The plane made a smooth landing but then something went wrong

Not saying that this was the problem in the YEG incident, as I don't know the details.
