OP, language seems most likely. Did one of your relatives mention something to AC about a potential language barrier?

I wonder why cow got that and not you. Probably because he's closer to LA.

Just for the record...

Ah, okay, I didn't use the word "acronym" in my search. I get the same results when I do. Is it possible that OP's father-in-law is a member of the Los Angeles Nude Guys and AC wanted to give him the appropriate VIP treatment?

I'm going with irritating spelling-challenged country singer as well. Possibly nude.

Lang could also be tall in Dutch.

In Filipino there is a common phrase of "Joke lang..."

I had that on my BP on an AE redemption earlier this year. The 100K check-in agent was confused and removed the remarks. It is flagging a potential language issue, but it can apparently get in there by accident sometimes too.

Thanks. Probably a mistake. Mother tongue is German.

Customer speaks neither English nor French. SSR (Special Service Request) generated at the time of booking as an alert to the Crew.

This was an easy one. Usually it take 250+ replies.

Could you comment of date of travel and routing since that may help explain the acronym? If I were to hazard a guess your parents are flying on Dec 31 or Jan 1 and the notation indicates that they want Auld Lang Syne sung to them.

I have a correction I'd like to contribute for ML*1.

It is not a "gate upgrade".

I believe it is a "cabin change after check-in".

I was paid J seated in Y after a downgauge. Certainly not an upgrade, and it didn't happen at the gate. Remarks and PIL both said ML*1.

Adok & sixf

Hi everyone,

In the remarks section of one of my boarding passes, there was "ADOK".

On another one: "SIXF"

And in the last one "ADOC SIXF".

I have read on this forum "DOC" could mean "documents checked", but what about "DOK"? and "ADOK"?
