perhaps a confused gate agent too. That code is appearing on domestic as well as transborder itineraries. The pax I booked would not have had access to the transborder lounge in YYZ.

I wouldn’t have access to the transborder lounge at YHZ or YYZ either. Only the domestic lounges.

2x DOM flights tomorrow, 2x DBUS.

I booked three passengers on tomorrow’s YYZ to YHZ flight.

- Cash fare, aeroplan member, economy Comfort, no code noted on boarding pass.

- Award tickets for aeroplan member and nonmember, business class lowest, DBUS noted on both boarding passes.

Just a WAG here, but since Award tickets tend to be the first ones downgraded when the J cabin is overbooked, perhaps DBUS somehow communicates priority for Denied Boarding? That would explain why the Award tickets got the code and the Revenue ticket did not.

I've seen DBUS on a deadheading pilot's BP, and they'd be absolute last for a downgrade or denied boarding, so that can't be it.

I also have DBUS on the latest WORSE version of the app BP.

With AC if it ain’t broke they make it broke.

I kinda like the new BP, can change seats right from the boarding pass, and indicates Window/Asle again....

Jebby_ca Dec 16, 2024 2:34 pm

I also had DBUS on the boarding pass in my AC app, AC837 MUC - YYZ.

DBUS again digitally after OLCI, and not printed on my DOM BP today. Also, not encoded in the dotcode, at least not in obvious text.

Same for both of us, YYC-LHR, on the app BP, "remarks DBUS." P fare. Not on the e-mailed one that's no longer e-mailed (but links to the web site).

My spouse and I got DBUS on a trip for tomorrow. My daughter got YPTU... They are all separate PNRs so for my daughter my theory is Youth Passenger Travelling US... or transiting US... or something... YOW-YUL-MCO, showing on both digital BP...

canadiancow Dec 18, 2024 9:18 am

YPTU is correctly defined in the wiki ;)
