Yeah that makes sense.

FRA is just an interesting example where an AC pax (and I'm excluding LH HON flying AC) might have access to:
1. Just the MLL (STPA)
2. MLL and LH Business lounges (AC J)
3. MLL and LH Business+Senator lounges (*G)

But if the code (is it an SSR?) is just to get you into AC lounges, then DBUS would be sufficient in either case.

It’s not showing up as an SSR when I pull up the PNR on PNR.SH (but lots of other SSRs are coming up).

Some of the conspiracy theories on here are wild. Saw someone think that DBUS means Denied Boarding or Under Surveillance.

I think you mistake humour for conspiracy theory.

Regardless, thanks for clearing it up. Hopefully whoever gave you this info is better informed who gave YYC3722 the incorrect explanation that kicked off this debate.

I think you misunderstood - I referred to it as ‘conspiracy theories’ jokingly as well. I wasn’t serious… I’m glad the information is helpful. Cheers.

It’s not an SSR. It’s a dynamic indicator based on Altea business rules.

Also, for sake of clarity (I laughed at Delta One Sky Team), D1ST means “Departure Lounge First Class”, just like DBUS means “Departure Lounge Business Class” and DPRM means “Departure Lounge Premium Economy”. These are just flags in Altea and the airline can repurpose them a bit, but these are the true definitions of them.

There’s also DECY, which is technically “Departure Lounge Economy”. This is a good example of AC repurposing it, as they use it as the “No Lounge” indicator on non-rev boarding passes.

I guess the lounge thought makes sense.
*G in paid J and no DBUS out of JFK

No DBUS on a transborder flight tomorrow.
Also does not show priority security or PreCheck on the pass in the app but if you add it to Apple Wallet both of these show up.
Not impressed.

Would you be willing to prove it in exchange for it being investigated and fixed, as needed?

At ORD right now. Paid J to YYZ connecting to YXU. No code on the printed boarding pass, DBUS on the app.
My printed boarding pass to YXU doesn't have any code either. But there is no electronic pass, so I can't compare them.

Under Surveillance.

What better way to keep me under surveillance than to have me in the lounge, where they can use their own systems.

If I wander around the terminal they'd have to hack into the airport security camera system like in the latest Mission Impossible documentary.

Hokay so... When this BP first loaded, the green section was missing. The purple section was there. I sat and stared at it for maybe 10 seconds, and just when I was about to take a screenshot, the green section showed up.

Seems like it's loaded some dynamically and out of band from the rest of the BP, so if you don't give it enough time (or that part fails), it will be missing?

Sure but I'm not sure how I prove to you that I do have PreCheck coded into my itinerary?

canadiancow Dec 20, 2024 9:53 am

Ended up changing my flight so I got it better this time.

That line on the BP showed up as soon as the "Digital ID is available!" Notification came in. It definitely took 15+ seconds.

Same thing for me today, paid J, EWR-YYC. I searched for DBUS on FT and only found this.

I've updated the wiki to:
1. Sort the codes alphabetically
2. Added the new lounge ones. I'm not entirely sure about DPRM, but based on discussions here, it seems to indicate MLL access via a credit card?

Please correct it if I'm wrong.

I was on a YYZ-LAX flight a few years ago. The first officer was my flying instructor from the Brampton Flying Club when I was training. I asked that there would be no spin training that day. :)
