I got a SIXF for my LAX - YYZ - BOS itinerary. Thought it was a fancier eight or ninth freedom flight but it is just your routine sixth freedom.
Weirdly, I was called to the check-in desk to collect my BP for this itinerary. I have not needed to do that for years for any US or Canada itineraries. Have to speculate it is because of this weird SIXF. |

It only shows up on BPs for airports that support it. YYZ domestic will get it, YYZ TB will not, etc.

Incidentally, I seem to remember that the thing says the information is only stored on the phone. So the scanner at the gate should connect to one's phone? Anyway, it seems slower than scanning a boarding pass.. |
