This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition and 2018 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

The way I handle my expenses is the definition of insanity.
I always tell myself I'll be more on it and will keep my receipts orderly - I literally only have to take a quick picture of the receipt - but it never fails that within a couple days of traveling my old habits creep in.
I am an idiot. An idiot with a severely out of balance expense report.

My daughter is applying to the Workshop in Computer Science for Young Women at Waterloo. But when she submitted the web form to create an account for the application it just kicked back to a blank form.
What does it say about the best CS school in Canada when they can't make a web form work?
update: Just tried again and it worked this time. At least they fix things faster than Aeroplan.

@jasdou
Right, which is why I wrote
And unrelated....I certainly realize location matters, but there is something mildly exotic about being in NRT and seeing Mongolian Airways, Air Busan, Peach, Vanilla, Air Seoul and such all taxi by. Also still interesting to see AM there too.

That is what the policy is... I shouldn’t be surprised I know the CATSA screening rules better than the screeners, but come on.
The lady two behind me in line applauded me for standing my ground lol
Mostly I was just barely on the other side of hangry and tired and the thought of buying more shoe polish this week felt like an insurmountable barrier.
YVR security did throw away my perfume bottle because it was more than 100ml bottle never mind that there was less than a thimble full left. She said it was a size of the bottle rule, not the actual contents. I said they should throw everyone's empty water bottles out too in that case.

Every time I see the airport code EZE my head is immediately filled with excessively dirty rap lyrics from the early 90s.

Before that, I used Genius Scan (android) for collecting things right into a PDF for easy submitting. Merging in PDFs from the device was a bit of a pain, so there were lots of pictures of emails on the laptop
The only paper I held onto to was for cars and hotels as I got those while on the move.. Tended to hold that paper only until I got to a *A lounge, now that I think about it.

We have a new system now for a few months. The Concur app can take pictures directly.

As previously stated - because I am an idiot.
