I will guesstimate that it is the opposite - the AC Amadeus migration has gone so well, that more customers need more drinks.

It's a new AC revenue management scheme - FUBAR the system for the "0.1%" unlucky ones so that they lose their reservation and are forced to buy a new ticket, on AC 014 stock again in several situations.
