A330-300 Fleet Overview

AC currently has two configurations of 333:
  • Dream Cabin (16 aircraft): Latest 3-class configuration in line with the 787 and 777 fleets (seat map)
  • The "Merlions" (2 aircraft): ex-Singapore Airlines 2-class configuration (seat map), which are expected to be reconfigured to the Dream Cabin.
    • Important note: the front cabin on these aircraft is an angle-flat product in a 2-2-2 layout that was SQ's "regional" business class. On flights within North America, AC sells it as J; on international flights, they sell it as PY. These aircraft do not have the standard AC PY cabin
    • Since October 2023, these aircraft primarily operate YYZ>BOG>YUL triangle, and YUL<>LAX.

If it's the only one with 1-1-1 in J I'm on it to YYC in a couple of weeks.

Despite best attempts (been tried over the years) it's virtually impossible to keep a solitary aircraft in a unique configuration on a designated route. More than likely however, 931 will remain in North American & The Caribbean (YYC, LAX, CUN, etc).

It is. I’m on it right now.

If this dismal heap was a dog, someone would at least have the common decency to take it out behind the barn and shoot it.

The tray tablecloth stuffed between the bins to catch a water leak (I assume) is a nice touch.

It gets better…they upgraded 14 people to J at the gate, at least 10 of which were non-rev standbys, and as a revenue passenger, I got a PE tray, because they “didn’t load enough”.

These guys crack me up.

EDIT: Annnnd, the main was ice cold. What’s the date again today? Lol…

You should just write in and get your X% discount code.
I've been lucky enough to win the hot potato game with 931... usually gets swapped out before day of travel.

Apparently GEGC has flown it's last cargo flight and will go to Asia tomorrow for conversion to passenger conversion.

There have been anecdotal accounts here of their XM bird being swapped out. A month out is an eternity.

Just landed at ICN. Likely HKG next.

Actually QPG. Wiki has been updated. Assuming 947 should exit shortly.

Just got a seat change notification - AC895 on Friday is now an XM cabin. How nostalgic - though the YUL-YYZ portion is enough for me to feel nostaltic without too much of a downside to me .

I don't really go through YUL often (thankful I'm entering Canada via YUL at the monent, though!) - I had forgotten there are still some birds with these cabins.

GHLM came out of HKG on June 3. Does anyone know if it was refurbished as the seat maps won't load on the app. The seat preview on the website suggests it has been refurbished. If so they turned the refurbishment very quickly (30 days). She also went tech yesterday on the way to Lisbon and had to return to Montreal to be replaced by GFAF (which is the last bird in the old configuration).

Don't be surprised if you get an "at gate" replacement. Flew to YYC last week. At check-in seating was 1-1-1 in J, 1-2-1 at boarding. No opportunity to change seats to sit closer to wife since multiple upgrades processed at gate.
